It’s one of the most celebrated games of all time yet, six years later, there are plenty who have had their fill of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Following on from a barrage of amazing (and occasionally smutty) PC mods, we had 2016’s Special Edition upgrade that was in turn shrunk back down to make a triumphant debut on the Nintendo Switch earlier this month. Cramming such a dense yet sprawling open-world RPG into one of those tiny cartridges is a marvel, though one arguably overshadowed by Skyrim VR.
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
A modder has created a "real virtual magic" mod for Skyrim VR.
The mod uses a brain computer interface that measures your concentration.
The more you focus, the higher your magicka bar becomes. Fill it up and you'll do double damage; let it drop and you'll do less.
Amazon has discounted Fallout 4 Game of The Year Edition to $23.00, Rage 2 to $29.99, Skyrim VR to $27.00 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition to $17.00.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to spend more than 10 usd of their hard earned money on Fallout 4. I went into it think I was going to get a New Vegas style Fallout, instead I got a dull reskin of Skyrim.
I also picked up Skyrim and I'm enjoying it for what it is. I should have gotten Skyrim first and replayed New Vegas for my Fallout fix.
P.S. Rage 2 is poop, not worth the price tag.
Yep. Nothin like playin 6 year old games in VR as the headline for the PSVR.
Here is a personal experience had in Skyrim VR... Came across 3 giants in the field, They quickly start to bash my head in so I turn tail and run away. In my left hand I have my healing spell, in my right fire spell. As I instinctively run away from them, I without hesitation, take right arm and start to shoot fire behind me, taking quick glances behind me to make sure I am hitting him and getting away while simultaneously healing myself with the left, all while running downhill trying not to run into anything. Never have I felt so immersed in the world. My heart was racing, feeling actual fear of these giant enemies trying to pummel "my" head. It wasn't 'till after I got away that I realized what had just happened, and how natural it all felt.
I would wait for the PC version. PSVR is kind of terrible.
It is amazing!!!!! It was under the tree kids are gone so I had to give it a try and I have been playing it for a few hours and it's freaking awesome! I had this on PS3 and PS4 and this is the way to play for sure!
