Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition To Add New Twists to Its Fights

It looks like Street Fighter fans’ patience is about to pay-off in a big way. Instead of featuring new fighters or modes, this latest look at Capcom’s Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition was all about the improvements and additions being brought to the gameplay. Each character will not only be getting new V-Triggers to throw at their opponents, but new abilities, combo-extenders and mix-ups as well. These all join an already extensive list of add-ons and improvements included in the Arcade Edition package.

I just mash buttons and hope for the best

DarXyde2772d ago

Ha! That's pretty impressive if it works for you. Street Fighter has always been very unfriendly to button mashing in my experience.

After 5 and a half years, we are now waiting for a new street fighter game, not new characters to the old game. continue mortal kombat

A lot of people are hyped for Akira, seeing as it's been so long since Rival Schools.

Yi-Long1420d ago

That’s because Akira is from the era when Capcom still had amazing character design. Personally been pretty disappointed with most of the new fighters, design-wise, for SF4 & 5.

Not really feeling new guy Luke either.

Pocky has just announced their partnership with Capcom

Glico’s Pocky Label Announces Its Entry in the Esports World In their First Global Partnership with Street Fighter™ V: Arcade Edition Proudly Presents the “Pocky K.O. Challenge”.

It's some candy from Japan, you can see the pocky candy in a lot of animes and mangas.

bluefox7552044d ago

They make these thin cookie sticks that are dipped in chocolate, very popular with anime fans for some reason. I've only recently discovered this as well.

rainslacker2043d ago

pocky is really good stuff. Can often be found in a decent size grocery store's asian section, or an asian market. I highly recommend trying it.

Simon_the_sorcerer2044d ago

Pocky and Capcom? Sure, why not? :P

TGG_overlord2044d ago

That's right, well, I like the Pocky candy at least ;)

darthv722044d ago

Does this mean they will have SF flavored pocky...? Like Chun Li and R Mika flavored?

ReVibe2044d ago

I used to collect various obscure Pocky flavors and hoard the boxes. I find this collaboration better suited for Pockymon than a fighting game.

rainslacker2043d ago

I like the banana chocolate one's the best. They had an orange cream-sickle thing I liked a lot, but they stopped selling it everywhere I knew to get it locally. Asked at an anime convention if it was still available, and they said that it wasn't available from their stateside distributor anymore.
