In addition to retaining Hitman, IO kept ownership of Freedom Fighters, a 2003 third-person shooter that appeared on sixth gen consoles and received high praise.
WOW!!!!!! I would be so hyped if Freedom Fighters returned but it's very disappointing that Kane and Lynch is still on ice because the story has so much potential. Both games also features Jesper Kyd's best work.
Be interesting to see what direction they take and how long they stay afloat. At least they have their beloved Hitman and Freedom Fighters. Though my bet, if not a new Hitman, they'll be working on something new.
"As it turns out, the Kane & Lynch IP stayed with Square Enix following the separation from IO. So did Mini Ninjas, if anyone cares." I absolutely care. IO did an incredible job on Mini Ninjas and it was a great game. Granted now that they're independent I doubt IO would bring a new one or remaster it but... it was a great game and I'd love a sequel. I certainly don't see Square doing anything with the IP. Hopefully, if I'm wrong, they do it justice.
Freedom fighters please come back on this new generation. Who the hell cares about Kane & Lynch. I used to play Freedom Fighters religiously on my PS2. Would love to play on my Xbox one. Even X1X once I get it.
Okay
Freedom Fighters was one of my favorite OG Xbox game
I played Freedom Fighter on PC when I was a kid. Damn, the game was so freaking good.
I can live with this IO. So how about that sequel, so I can forgive you already?
