Call of Duty WWII Reveal Trailer vs Retail PS4 Pro Graphics Comparison

Thanks to stunning graphics Call of Duty WWII is showing cruelty of war in a way that not many games did. And players experience it like never before.
But hey, maybe it’s worth to compare final release with its reveal footage, right? Just to see how the game has evolved since then. What do you think?

A definite downgrade in the textures and image quality from the trailer to retail. i wonder if the OneX will be able to look like the trailer, with upgraded textures possible and hopefully none of those crushed blacks im seeing in the retail version too.

How ? The reveal trailer show soldier uniform looks very dirty. But final trailer, their uniforms looks way too clean. Even Turner face in reveal trailer seem lifelike but final version his face look scale down. Even texture look better on Xbox One X, it isn't going to match the same image like the reveal trailer. UCForce. The XB1X enhanced patch is not out yet, as it will be available at launch. As already seen on the DF Shadow of War video, a game running on an enhanced patch and not running it, made a HUGE difference on the XB1X. Who knows, the trailer might be running on the XB1X with the enhancement already set. I am sure Digital Foundry will show it next week.

The modded Call of Duty will match the trailer that is for sure just look at the modded versions of gta V, fallout 4, the witcher 3, etc. Those games look very photorealistic once modded because game developers refused to utilize the PC to its full capacity.

they already did a comparison and the xboneX and PS4Pro look pretty identical with the x being slightly sharper but not by much.

but that is without the onex patch. that’s just boost mode on the onex. the patch will get released, then we will see it

First off, do we know that the PS4Pro is gotten a 'patch'? Secondly, how do you know xbonex is getting a 'patch', and lastly, the game is releasing along with xbonex and it is already said that "it supports xbonex" so doesn't that mean that this is what its going to look like on the X? Lastly, there has already been comparisons between the two and they look pretty comparable. I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment if you think the xbonex is going to look that much better than the Pro.

Think about it, the original PS4 produced games like Uncharted 4, and that game looks as "good" as the best looking games on PCs that are much more powerful that the OGPS4. The X is like a mid-level PC. Sure its stronger than the Pro as it should be coming out a year later, but its not that much more powerful. For the most part the games will look comparable.

What I'm trying to say, Xbox One X isn't going to match the quality image like the reveal trailer. Just like MEA, even its looks better on Xbox One X but it won't match like the trailer.

Even if MEA have updated Xbox One X patches, it won't match the reveal trailer. The only difference is the texture and draw distance are much improved than original Xbox One. That's about it.

but what do you expect? there’s no patch, it’s all system level upgrades, kinda like boost mode. i’m sure if there was a patch they could get image quality a lot higher then texture/draw distance like we saw in other comparisons (gears of war 4 or forza 7 like)

I've all but given up on AAA games from third party devs. Only games I'll really consider playing are games from FromSoft (Dark Souls 2 was a massive disappointment when it comes to downgrades) and Ubisoft's Farcry games (with the exception to Primal).

There are people who agree with you apparently, however I don't.

First off, if PC gamers stopped buying CoD for years now than why do you care? (Assuming you are a PC gamer)

But even if you play on console, this won't affect you at all. There are people who enjoy CoD still. I do myself. I buy it for the campaign and zombies. I don't play MP. But that's just me.

Why does that bother you so much? There are a shit ton games other than CoD you van play. Buy and play those and let people buy CoD who enjoy it.

Also, PC gamers buy CoD as well. Not as much as they used to but saying that PC gamers stopped buying it is a flat out lie.

Call of Duty Band of Brothers the movie. gameplay ?? oh yea, erm, same old sh!t from 10 years ago. Cinematic railshooter, stand there with what feels like toy guns & shoot those bots over there, then cut scene & then stand there & shoot at some more brainless bots, rinse & repeat for 6 hours.

I did play it, very nice cut scenes but it literally copied the D-Day landings to the letter from Medal of Honor Allied Assault which copied Saving Private Ryan. Not a bad thing.

While in fairness I have not checked out this title, it just seems a bit too samey for me. I really enjoyed the last one with the futuristic setting, The aircraft missions were great, and it was a pretty good story as well. Looked spectacular.

We have been through and through with WW2 settings, and from what I have heard they watered down this one so as not to offend any of the crackpots. No swastikas, token insertions here and there in the name of diversity. Sorry but that is NOT accurate for WW2.

I do not think I will be picking this one up, but to those that do, enjoy it.

Yeah don't bother, I bought it against my better judgement. I had high hopes for this game as it was back to WW2, but honestly, this game doesn't even hold a candle to BF1 or even COD: Infinite Warfare for that matter. The graphics are merely ok, the animations suck, the AI is horrible, the audio is miles behind Battlefield, and once again, there is no dynamic destruction. Wait until its 15 bucks used on Amazon.

I'll buy it when it hits that price. Don't like all the futuristic shooters, and I'm not a big COD fan, but it will be a good pick up and play kinda game. Battlefield completely destroys COD, and I'll stick to that for the foreseeable future.

Please let the PC look like the bloody ass trailers. More likely it will be modders once again putting to shame game developers once the modded version of Call of Duty releases. NVIDIA Gameworks which can deliver those effects lighting, facial animations, grime etc. with NVIDIA GTX 10 series already capable of delivering this type of visuals but because it will make consoles ancient game developers still refuse to utilize the full power of the PC. Look at the modded version of any multiplat game and looks photorealistic compared to the vanilla version.
