Seems like an odd comparison, Resistance 3 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. However, when you think about these 2 games have a lot in common. Both offer epic single-player adventures set in an alternate version of history where something different happened during WW2. In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus the Nazis won the war and in Resistance humanity is at war with an alien race. Both games essentially do away with FPS staples such as regenerative health and short single-player campaigns. Instead, both Resistance 3 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus gave gamers a satisfying adventure full of exciting moments, varied environments, and brilliantly written stories thanks to phenomenal cutscenes and characters. But which did it better?
Insomniac Games' thunderous conclusion to its acclaimed first-person shooter series remains an under-appreciated work of art.
Not a classic in my opinion ; a pretty mediocre PS3 shooter as far as I'm concerned, not bad, not the worst of the trilogy, but certainly not great. Killzone 2 was miles ahead of it (and of most FPSs even today as far as I'm concerned).
I wish they'd bring back the Resistance 2 multiplayer. God that co-op was so much fun.
Also added this month: The Evil Within, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, Paradise Killer, Dishonored: Definitive Edition.
Riders republic. Nice. I never bought it but played beta twice. Good fun openworld game.
I kept getting caught up in other games so I never got around to buying Doom Eternal. If it's good I'll still buy it so i can keep it. The reboot was awesome, i think i played through it about 5 times, and platinumed it.
A whole lotta Bethesda titles in this lineup
Sackboy also got included as well despite already being as Essential title
Spiderman is in the titles leaving Extra in May. Guess 1st party titles aren't guaranteed to stay
Great Month, own most of them but looking fwd to trying monstor boy, nice sto have EW in my collection now and some wolfeinstein.
Despite lacking Call of Duty, the Nintendo Switch has many great shooters to replace it. Here are some of the best shooters on Switch.
Anyone else have a small but noticeable delay in aiming on Borderlands 2? Anytime I move the aiming reticle, there is maybe a quarter of a second (250ms) delay before it moves. Happens in both Handheld and Docked.
I haven’t bought one shooter for Switch. It’s just to weak to play them good enough. I really don’t play my Switch at all anymore. Going to sell them and wait for Switch 2.
these two games have nothing in common...
Yeah there are various similarities, but why compare the two?
resistance 3 sold like what? 20 copies? this is a very, very strange comparison.
Wouldn't Turning Point: Fall of Liberty be a better comparative? I mean it too had an alternate timeline where the Nazis won WWII like in the new Wolfenstein.
braindead comparison
