Metroid Prime: Federation Force is arguably the black sheep of the franchise. From the initial reveal to release, things did not go well for the game. Unfortunately, it was just not received warmly in the slightest.

Shocking, you leave a franchise out to die for so long, when you finally unveil it, its nothing like what the fans knew and loved.
This game might have been better received if they announced the M2 remake and Prime 4 along side of it.
I played it for a bit, it was actually pretty solid, it just wasn't what fans were expecting is all.
