Stranger Things: The Game is a brand new mobile game that is based loosely off of the smash-hit show. You start off as Chief Hopper and your goal is to explore the overworld and the various dungeons in the game, completing quests and rescuing members of your crew one at a time. The graphics are somewhere between NES and SNES, and the gameplay is similar to Zelda: A Link To The Past with a hint of Metroid in it. You have loads of places to explore, and you can collect Eggos, gnomes, and VHS tapes, as well as other items.
Evan Writes:
“I have been playing iPhone and Android games since 2011, writing about thousands of games in the process, so naturally, it can be a bit difficult for a game to make an impression on me at this point. Nevertheless, some games stick with me, even years after playing them. Here's some of my favorite underrated games (all free or freemium) for the iOS and Android platforms.”
Another question Telltale Games' closure left unanswered was what to expect from the Stranger Things game that was coming to Netflix. On this front, the spokesperson is quoted as saying, “We are in the process of evaluating other options for bringing the Stranger Things universe to life in an interactive medium.”
Bad ass. I was kinda excited for this when they announced it and thought it'd be canceled.
All ya need is a company billions in debt that is never required to make a profit, and ya have the perfect developer.
Not sure how i feel about it. I like the series and wonder what type of genre would best fit this story.
