Arcade Archives Is a Lazy Stop-Gap for Virtual Console

The Nintendo Switch has an impressive amount of first and third-party content after six months on store shelves. It’s pretty surprising, actually. Where the Wii U had month-long software draughts, the Switch has consistently solid first-party releases and a treasure trove of indie titles. Still, there’s one thing that the eShop is missing: Virtual Console.

Wii undeniably has the best incarnation of the Virtual Console with Wii U's right behind it.

Nintendo should work to make Switch's incarnation of the service the best one.

Agreed. I'd also like to see them put up a Miiverse successor, because the destruction of the original instead of a proper carry-over is a depressing state of affairs.

Wii U has the better VC. The Wii never got Earthbound. Also, you can play almost every zelda ever made on the Wii U.

I think you are misinterpreting what a stop gap is. The NES Classic was a stop-gap, the Switch isn't.

You didn't have to pay for the game again from Wii to Wii U, so it isn't every new platform.
