You don't need to look hard to find platformers on PS4

xboxcult2780d ago (Edited 2780d ago )

Good 2D ones you do.

FallenAngel19842780d ago

Not really. There's even a section on PSN that allows you to easily find these various platformers.

True, this is just a top list of the best 2d platformers that I think are worth playing. You linked Puzzle Platformer Genre which is not 2D games, plus there is a bunch of terrible games mixed in the link you provided.

I can't help it if Sony groups platformers and puzzle games in the same subsection on PSN.

There are still plenty of 2D platformers in that subsection though.

The link I provided was to every platformer offered through PSN, of course it's not going to filter out subpar games. But it still exists as an easy way for consumers to find games in the genre we both love.

I had no idea freedom planet was on PSN.. Gotta get that one..

I've been itching to get the Trine trilogy on the PS4, but I already own two of those three games on the PS3, and while they're great games with absolutely marvelous graphics, it's difficult to fork out money to rebuy games I already own. All the digital games on the PS4 that started on the PS3 should benefit from the cross-buy program, like Rogue Legacy or The Swindle (a notable omission in that article). Heck even Resogun, which originally started on the PS4 before being ported to the PS3, benefits from that program, so I shouldn't have to rebuy Dead Nation or Retro City Rampage...

I would add Electronic Super Joy .. love that game to bits! :)

...And Super meat boy

Thanks for these suggestions.
How can I forget Super Meat Boy!!!, loved that game on Xbox 360 back in the day.

I don't think this has been released for PS4 yet.
