There are 9 countries that are known to eat cat and dog meat. Among them are China, Korea, and Vietnam. Mostly, it takes place in highly populated and low income areas where "regular" meat is too expensive for the average person living there. In parts of Mexico, people also ate cat and horse meat. (though the popularity of cat meat has declined) So, it's not as far fetched as you might think. Remember, pets are a modern convenience. Culturally, WE have put the intouchable label on certain animals. But, cultures differ.
I'm not saying this to give credence to the existence of a game that just turns cheap stereotypes into supposed entertainment. (Just cuz they have the right to make it, doesn't mean they should...but, they are still free to express themselves) I'm saying this because you might have jumped the gun with the racist call-out.

Sounds like a madeup rumor - not saying you made it up but im sure its something that got started by someone else. Its fact that its cheaper to buy chicken then to buy a cat or even send someone out to hunt one down and then to skin it and prepare it, the man hour wouldnt even be worth it effort.

I'm with you. If it looks good, try it. If it tastes good, eat it. I learned that the "hard" way. I ate camel burgers for 2 days in Egypt before I found out it was camel. (Also had KFP...Kentucky Fried Pigeon...okay not confirmed, but those. were the smallest chicken parts I've ever seen) I had a favorite Mexican joint that closed for mixing horse meat into their taco meat mixture. I miss it.
I'll say that I'd have a hard time watching the butchering process. But, once it's on the plate, it's too late.

If anyone knows of the show little Britain, then you will know that we had seemingly reached a place where we could take the piss out of everyone and everything because we were In a seemingly multicultural and accepting society.
In that show no one is safe, Chinese, Indian, British, American, African... Also the lgbtq were also joked about. That was less than a decade ago, and we were all laughing together. Fast forward a few years and the unthinkable has happened.

Between Trump and Brexit it seems that we have gone so far backwards, now everything is tabo and everyone wants to protest and segregate.

It is depressing.

This is the result of extremes. When extremes, regardless of which, are given too much credence the middle gets lost. People automatically feel like they have to adopt one or the other for fear of being labeled as the opposite. You see it with the sjw/anti-sjw crowds. You see it with race. Liberal v. conservative. Religion v. Atheist. etc., etc.
There's often no room for the nuance that most of these topics require because the extremes are busy not listening, holding their stubborn line, and calling you out for not immediately or completely agreeing with them.

I think some may have misunderstood my post, I don't think its ok to make fun of people if it is not inclusive and permitted. Laughter is the best medicine and to be able to laugh at oneself before others is a great trait.

My fathers family is from China and me being half Chinese I find it funny. Some generalizations about Chinese sometimss bother me or racist things I have heard over the years but there are some real shitty American Chinese restaraunts that I would never go to and this is just a representation of that, no big deal I would actually like to try it out. Now how they portray Chinese people may be offensive I dont know I need to see but the restaraunt thing is funny
