"Crossover fighters can be a lot of fun, as they’re a great way to showcase various characters. With the upcoming Black Panther movie, insane popularity of Guardians of the Galaxy and standards like Ryu, Strider and Morrigan, there is a lot to be excited for. However, with a smaller roster, questionable choices and increased focus on casual players, is Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite a must or does it fail to make a satisfying experience for anyone?" - JPS

It's reviews like this that remind me how important it is to make up my own mind about a game. I love the graphics style of the game, I love the game play, 30 characters is a lot to pick from (remember how many characters you had to choose from in SFII OR MK1?) and Capcom included all the Staples of a fighting game this time out with a decent story mode. I like the 2v2, the fast switching between characters anytime and the infinity gems (stones) make for a nice change. My main has been changed enough from MvC3 that he's pretty different to play and better. Some of the characters on the Capcom side are frustrating to play since they lumber around and don't have the mobility I'd like, but that's why we all main certain characters. The question for me is simple. Am I getting my money's worth with the game? Now that I've had it for two days and have a good handle on it the answer's yes. The problem with a lot of the review sites is they want MvC3 part 2. This isn't that. It's something new. What counts isn't whether the titles are done up like comic books, or whether the story mode was an epic yarn or not. The story mode is like a play once and forget about it deal with all fighters. The meat and potatoes is the arcade and vs modes. And they shine here. So I'm glad I preordered and got my copy in and didn't wait for reviews. Reviews are only one person's opinion and what one person likes another won't. Anyways, off to go play some more MvCI!
