Those videos do make Gears 2 look a little crappy.

Gears multiplayer was always kinda boring to me, but I think Gears is more about SP.

(then again, I think this time around resistance beats the SP in substance)

WOW that was slower than Molasses.. Shotgun point blank no prob.. We are the hulk with armor.. Bullets that move as fast as people run.. No prob.. I was giving this game benefit of the doubt on gameplay.. but that was just terrible and unfun looking..

The slow movement mars the otherwise decent gameplay. I was hoping they'd speed up the character movement from the first game or add a proper sprint option that doesn't make you dizzy and completely vulnerable to death.

Because that didnt look so polished on the graphics side. Gameplay wise seem to be as awesome as the first.

P.S. Seeing that video really makes me wonder about the "small team tactics" excuse for not having more players. that was a blatant deathmatch if i ever say any which would benefit from more than 5v5.

The enemies still are stupid. The locust was getting shotgun blasted in the back and did not turn around. wtf?? The other locust guy just watched.. wtf?? Is this more bigger and badass to you? it is not to me>>>!! this game is in need of some serious Mocap/Ai improvements.. looks like same old same to me from gears1. i will buy it at the end of the day but darn it!! it is the same shaait as before.. it's multiplayer. there is no AI. Those are real players playing those characters. It also appears everyone involved in this game aren't that good.

Don't worry about there comments because there simply all in denial. THis footage even though was bad still had some impressive stuff going that looked fun. There is no game on PS3 kz2 or rfom2 that comes close to this so there just doing the usual trying to in when they know they don't have squat. This years game of the year will go to Gears or MGs4 and next year Alan wake will make all PS3 games look pretty bad.

Me, personally, I think Resistance 2 looks like generic Halo wanna-be crap but I don't go posting my opinion on Resistance 2 forums because I just don't care. I don't own a PS3 and the lack of quality games for the console is not my problem.

@lowcarb Don't forget the secret Halo projects coming out next year along with Halo wars. Also, Huxley is coming out too and I imagine that game will make MAG look pretty bad. Mass Effect 2 is coming out next year also and that will be HUGE considering the original is the best RPG released so far this gen of consoles unless Fable 2 or Fallout 3 sets the new standard.

I think judginf the graphics from that particular video is a little harsh, it's a cam recording and not the best quality anyway, won't do it "justice"

To be honest based on those, the game is visually unimpressive to say the least and that might well be an understatement. At least you can bank on the actual gameplay being top notch, I doubt they'd screw up the gameplay/storyline following on from the first game.

Nothing happens when you shoot it. Cars are made of lead, no destructible environments. A tommy gun can punch holes through a car, yet their guns cant?

There isn't a ton going on the screen either as we were all lead to believe was the thrill of horde. 2 to 3 locusts seem to just come in 'waves' and spawn when you turn your back.

That is all very clear and evident in the video. i hope its an old build too, but judging on everything else we have seen, I haven't really seen anything that would suggest that there is any build that looks drastically different in performance and visuals.

I don't think i'd be called a liar if I said that this looks like a mod to Gears1, more so than a new game with new gameplay.

this footage looks pretty awesome. it's the little things that makes GOW2 so good. like the details of the animations when you switch weapons or reload. Also, when you seek cover behind an object it completely removes you from line of sight unlike say COD4 where you'll hide behind something and your head will still be sticking out. You really have to play Gears of War to understand that it's not just the graphics it's the little things that make it so awesome.

and for those people saying the gameplay is slow, you obviously never have played GOW. you can run pretty fast. it just appears the guys playing it are total noobs and neither ran nor did they use cover effectively. and that guy couldn't snipe worth sh#t.

Can't wait until this comes out. I am so bored of COD4.

More action, there are still some bugs, like with the flamethrower boomer movement and weird jump glitch at one point but still much better.

These videos are probably really old. That's the problem with leaked videos, you never really know when they were taken.

They are playing horde and not 5 vs 5.. the points system for kills is one way to tell,the name of the locust you killed is a clue also (wrenches,grenadier,cyclops,bo omer ect...) You could see this if your hard drive was connected to a standard 17inch monitor instead of a 3inch cell phone.. you would be able to see outside of the cell phone 3inch viewing limits... This goes for both videos!! the second view shows a guy hiding in the corner while everybody else kill locusts...simple clue for you to see... i could spend all day facting you up about your comments but i not here to make enemies just friends if i can... i am seriously confused with some of these comments left by (obviously PS3 fanboys)people saying that the game looks like the old one :S.
first of all any game that has a squel wont be different from the first game because they wont change gameplay if it works
examples>halo>call of duty etc
popular franchises have the same underlined gameplay but usually add things like new enemies weapons and other stuff
so why would epic make a new game if the core mechanics are still very fun and enjoyable?
so next time keep ur retarded (PS3 fanboy) comments out!!

TBH, its much more like watching a demo of Gears 1. If I didn't see the use of the meat shield in the first 10 seconds I would totally pass this off as BS.
