The gaming market hasn’t been as interesting in years as it is right now. Sony has asserted its dominance entirely, and shows no signs of stopping or even slowing down on the back of a hugely exciting lineup of exclusives. Nintendo has struck back with the Switch, and it looks on pace to reclaim its position in the market. And Microsoft is doubling down for the launch of the Xbox One X later this year.
Former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida claims PlayStation still believes Xbox is their only true competitor, not Nintendo.
True, they have pretty different audiences..and some People just have both at home or a PS and a PC that emulates more or less everything from Nintendo.
Xbox hasn't been a competitor since the XB360. Last generation and this generation Sony has been running circles around Xbox. As for Sony vs Nintendo Sony runs circles yes but I don't really see Nintendo as competition. Nintendo does their own thing and it works.
microsoft wanted to crush sony into dust and they had the money to do it, but with such weak leadership it was always going to fail
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Game Rant speaks with actor Samantha Béart about their new and upcoming video game roles in Tron: Catalyst, Fading Echo, and more.
There's an incredible amount of value in that box for that price. It's not just about the hardware and the video game graphical settings but the services as well.. 4k blueray for movies, backwards compatibility and a much improved UI/console online system.. It even has a true sata 3 interface for SSD nuts like me who really want those extra 6 seconds every time I walk into a house in a Bethesda game.
..Other than the switch it's the only console that's come out in the last few years that's been able to impress me. And yes, I do mean the pro was horrible and I really wish it ended up being more rather than an upscale box that didn't deliver a Bloodborne patch because it's obvious they want to make some sort of 100 dollar remaster for the ps5 more popular.
You know, or rather it's my experience, to bold the replies of the interviewed. Not the questions of the interviewer.
And Pachter's seems to be MS's: only looking at numbers. The big numbers.
Its not that one AAA sells 5 to 10 million making massive profit, cause those days are gone, but rather five sub-AAA sell a million each making enough of sequels or other projects. That's how a console, as a general gaming platform, has value.
Again pacther Nope
Pachter says a lot of interesting things sometimes, all of them come true. He's never missed the mark, not once, but it's his job to make predictions, and predictions are... Well, not precise. Most of his predictions do have a lot of research backing them (there's a whole team behind him), so it's not like he's making baseless claims: Noooo! He's intelligent, friendly, and overall trustworthy (and good looking for a man of his age) , and he never ever would dare to state the obvious, (What's trendy at the time).
