Wrong!! it's just 65mb get your facts together! 1st update was around 1.2gb and released before the Beta even started, 2nd around 60mb when it went public and now this which released yesterday So that not only makes your so called "news" wrong news it also old.

Long story short...Clickbait.

Then explain to me why I had to download 1.2GB yesterday, hmm?

Shin-Zantetsuken2853d ago (Edited 2853d ago )

It was 65 Mb for me too. I was just wondering why the article is reporting 1.3 Gb.

That's a glitch with PSN servers happens with most games! What exactly happens is your PS4 checks all the files installed on the system and compares them with what's on the server during the "Preparing" process and if you force download without waiting on the preparing or your connection just gets out of it "time out sort of thing" it just starts the whole thing over, How do I know? I had garbage connection before and was downloading Driveclub's updates every single time as 25GB when in reality they were A LOT less than that and only noticed when the studio started to say the exact size of each patch!! Now how to get this fixed for good (work around I found by myself!) when you see a new update to any game just put your system immediately in Rest Mode for 10 to 20 minutes depending on your connection speed you'll only download the files you don't have! And you're welcome.

While I can't comment on every occurrence, since it's possible what Emad-E-three replied to you saying might be true, I can say that this is an issue people often had with Destiny. After it says preparing to download, it would display the full amount, let's say 10 gb, you have compared to the total out there, so like 11 gb, and after preparing you'd start at 10 and need to go to 11. Even when it displays like this you're only downloading 1 gb, but people would constantly say Destiny was getting 25 gb patches every other week because of it.

Outside of that, the actual download is, in fact, 61.81 mb. You can disagree, tell me I'm wrong or state it's actually Shin-Zantetsuken says, but that is what my PS4 said. Pic for proof... https://i.imgur.com/fmuzYZO...

@admiral

You can think I'm wrong but I know what was displayed, and no, it was not already partially downloaded like indeed sometimes happens...

Not important tho is it? It's just that attacking the article writer is a little silly when more people saw it downloaded 1.2GB...

Then why did I have to download 1.3 gigs?

qu1ckset2853d ago

I wonder if this patch will fix the crashing my PS4 Pro on 4k, couldn't get passed the opening mission without it crashing half way threw. Tried 4 times!

jmac532853d ago

Same here and no, they didn't fix it. It's not only in the opening mission, which I was lucky to get through, but the rest of the beta as well. A bit embarrassing for Bungie that their game runs like garbage on the premier platform.

qu1ckset2853d ago

It's all good l, I played enough to decide I wasn't buying the game anyways..

Patching a beta hmmmmm interesting

UnHoly_One2853d ago

I thought this ended on Sunday?

Extended 2 days for further stress testing. Official explanation, "we're going to start unplugging stuff to see what happens".

What If... Destiny 2's Gambit Was a Hit?

In a world where Gambit thrived, Destiny 2’s seasons, storylines, and even its endgame might’ve revolved around PvEvP as a core foundation.

Destiny already has the pretty hyper 'raid' fixation and then they added legendary raid dungeons. Hyperfixating in PvEvP wouldn't work as well because you need a lot more than 2% of the userbase to keep that going unlike raids that are propped up by streamers who make running them their whole job. Most players don't play all the raids let alone run them over and over. And most who play PvP don't want structured PvE elements.
