SUPERHOT VR has been ported over to the PSVR, and while originally developed for room scale, it works out pretty nicely. Is SUPERHOT VR fun enough to warrant a purchase?

Superhot VR is being review bombed by angry players on Steam after its developers removed two scenes relating to self-harm from the game.
It’s a VR game, and they are the devs…. Maybe they had good reasons to remove these scenes?
I dont know, i'm of two minds on this. On one hand it was really impactful, and added a lot to the weird brainwash underline theme of the narrative. But on the other hand, it's not the best scene for someone who might be struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide to suddenly, and surprisingly have a game require you to physically inact blowing your brains out. It can be shocking in the wrong way. Maybe pop a message up when you start asking if you want to exclude self harm scenes?
It was an impactful scene that had reasoning behind it. Just give a warning with the option to turn off. The option is already there, just give an alert when you start the game. I'm actually very disappointed in this move.
If you've played the original version, then I think there's a chance you'll be let down by the VR version. It is a completely new game built for VR. A change I was disappointed in is the lack of free movement; sure you can move around your roomscale environment, but you are auto transported to new spots which I found really hurt the experience. Given you move in slow motion, I figured thumbstick/free-locomotion would actually work pretty well in this game. Unfortunately, we don't get to find out.
Stand in one spot, finish, move to next spot/scenario. Each scenario sees you pulling off a handful of moves and then whisks you away to the next. Normally you play a block of about 5 scenarios before you "checkpoint". Fail on the 5th, start back on the 1st. It can get repetitive. And if you miss a ranged enemy and have no bullets/items nearby, you have to move your hands or make strange, extraneous movements to speed time along until he gets into melee range. And miss you can, as thrown objects don't seem to follow any repeatable trajectories or anything. Take your time on your aim and throw lightly to help improve your chances of repeatable throws.
If all goes right, you can feel kinda cool like in the original, but miss a move and the flow breaks and the coolness factor dips (not a problem in the original). It ultimately feels a bit meh and fairly disjointed. I don't find it worth the price-tag and it ultimately feels like an average VR experience to me. But I am quite clearly in the minority, just wanted people to take a minute to look into it a bit harder and see if it is truly for them.
(Also this comes from playing the Rift+Touch version, but I imagine it all still applies to the PSVR version)
