J Finally Reviews Gonner for the Nintendo Switch
Four and a half months into the Nintendo Switch’s life cycle, we are at a period where seeing good non-Nintendo games is consistently exciting, after what feels like decades of poor indie and third party support on their home platforms. In addition to adjusting to seeing more and more outside games featured on the Switch, the novelty of its portability supported by small scale titles is still delightful. That said, it is important to highlight that the very novelty of certain games existing on this new platform in 2017, may only apply to 2017. This leads to the point that the perception and expectations of Switch games will change more drastically in the future than a typical game would on any other platform. But as it stands today, Gonner is a tight little game on Nintendo’s new portable hybrid.
