Spider-Man PS4 vs The Amazing Spider-Man 2 PS4 Pro Graphics Comparison

Newest Spider-Man game created by Insomniac Games is about to premiere in 2018, however we already may see first gameplay videos presenting the title in motion. Let's compare this footage with 2014 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 running on PS4 Pro with Boost Mode enabled.

You can just see that insomniac knows the Playstation tech after all they have been involved primarily with Sony for many years. Great work, cant wait to play the game

Traversal wasn't TASM2's main issue, it was everything else, crap story, shallow combat and lifeless feeling city. Looks like Insomniac is perfecting every aspect of the world. Just watching the video you can see combat is far more dynamic, traversal has a lot more options and animations surrounding it, and there is so much more environmental detail and busyness going on everywhere. The lighting especially looks fantastic and gives a hyper real look to the world. Thought we haven't seen much of the the story yet so I'll keep my judgment reserved.

Gotta hand it to Beenox though, for the time they had they made a pretty decent looking title and it was a multiplat across generations. The sky box is quite good.

There will be a difference because the first trailer was a confirmation of the game concept. The real game design is the second image at the right. Eventually there will be some reductions in the level of detail however the concept, game play and game idea is amazing. I'm sure Marvel, Insomniac and Sony will do a great job providing an amazing experience like the success of Horizon Zero Down.

I'm sure Insomniac will deliver, they have along record of successes.

I feel like this is on par with superhero games like Batman - The combat look very similar tbh. This is a great thing for the maturity of superhero videos games.
