When it comes to gaming, you tend to have two options for playing. You can either buy a console or opt to play your games on a PC. If you follow gaming websites and forums, you know that the competition over which is better can get heated. "if you follow gaming websites and forums, you know that the competition over which is better can get heated"

Yeah probably because of articles like this

SegaGamer1912d ago

Exactly, it's articles like this that set off the fanboys.

Vegamyster1912d ago

Yup. Blatantly click bait titles like these always generate more attention, I doubt stuff like this would receive half the views if it was called "8 reasons PC gaming is great" lol.

#9 PC community comes together when companies try to screw them. GTA 5 mods, Paradox price increase, MS trying to charge for online, Bethesda paid mods and many more examples of the community putting a stop to anti consumer practices.

Nintendo4Lifex1912d ago

Bethesda has paid mods again real rebellion!

agent45321912d ago

Something that console gamers failed to do:

PlayStation Gamers caved to pay to play online despite their principle.

Console gamers caved to upgrading a console despite telling PC gamers that upgrading was a hassle

Console gamers caved to microtransanctions despite paying $60.00 plus tax for games. PC gamers still refuse to pay $60.00 for multiplatform games with microtransanctions. Ironically console gamers still believe that free 2 play is worse lol

Console gamers gave up free unlockables in favor of DLC lol

"Console gamers caved to upgrading a console despite telling PC gamers that upgrading was a hassle"

I think you'll find that the vast majority of PS4s in the wild are OG PS4s. Just like the vast majority of Xboxes will be OG Xboxes.

porkChop1911d ago

I seem to remember PlayStation and Xbox gamers fighting back against MS over the Xbox One policies. And that's just one example. That kind of thing doesn't only happen on PC.

agent45321911d ago

That was the only time that both the gaming media and console gamers fought back. In contrast the gaming media was in favor of paid mods but pc gamers still fought back. That is the difference.

Elda1912d ago

PC may have the graphics but it's a pain to keep the system up with upgrades nor do PC have great exclusives that Sony or Nintendo has...a definite pass when it comes to PC gaming.

TXIDarkAvenger1912d ago

Maybe you should do your research if you think PC doesn't have great exclusives

Every RTS except Halo wars ?

samden1912d ago (Edited 1912d ago )

@SolidStateSnake are you serious? You do realize a majority of the most popular games in the world are PC exclusive right? League of Legends, Dota 2, CS:GO, World of Warcraft, pretty much every RTS other than Halo Wars (as @Aloren stated).

Elda1912d ago (Edited 1912d ago )

I have & imo they don't. I haven't seen any action adventure games or single player exclusive experiences of any interest on PC..just RTS & MMO's that I have no interest in.The rest of exclusive games on PC look like low budget titles, nothing that comapares to AAA exclusive games on consoles.

AzurePaladin771912d ago (Edited 1912d ago )

@SolidStateSnake Starcraft 2, Civilization 6, Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, Black Desert Online, Cities: Skylines,Total War: Warhammer, Xcom 2, Pillars of Eternity, World of Warcraft: Legion, Endless Space 2, Tyranny, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 3, Fortnite, Stardew Valley, Might & Magic X: Legacy, Might & Magic Heroes VI, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, Star Citizen, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dungeon Defenders 2, Fallen Enchantress, Galactic Civilizations II, Kings Bounty Series, Rift, Sins of a Solar Empire, Hearthstone, Total War: Shogun 2, Hex: Shards of Fate, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Company of Heroes 2, Playerunknown: Battlegrounds are just some as I stated above. There are tens of thousands of games on Steam and most are not available on consoles. The VAST majority of games produced are for PC. Every day hundreds of small and large developers alike upload games to the net for play on PC. I just don't think some console gamers really know what the PC world is like. I find no discomfort sitting at my desk for hours at a time playing my go-to game World of Warcraft (really the only game you'll ever play again if you try it) and I don't really find it any more satisfying sitting on my couch playing Destiny (although I do like Destiny). I just don't think some people understand that, as I've said, there are tens of thousands of PC games and consoles get like, what, 5-10 exclusives a year? I have 686 games in my steam account and many more on my other digital distribution apps like and most of them are not available on consoles. The day you can tell me the PS store has caught up to the 10,000+ games on steam I will be surprised indeed. Don't get me wrong, I like my consoles, but I just think people should do a little investigation and find out what PC gaming is about and how much more worthwhile it can be. I play PC for the exclusives and consoles don't even have a fraction of the games available on PC. Also, the 'I don't want to upgrade all the time with a PC' seems uninformed. I have so much fun upgrading my pcs myself and assembling my own computers and it really is only as expensive as you want it to be depending on how powerful you want it. Even then, it only needs to be done every several years which can be about as long as a console's life cycle. That argument is kind of like saying "I don't want to drive a car because I have to put gas in it and repair it sometimes, so I'm going to be sticking to bicycles".

Aloren1911d ago

I really like the whole "PC exclusives are not like the games I play on my consoles, therefore PCs have no interesting exclusives" . Well duh... if those genres are popular on consoles, the games are obviously going to come out on consoles too. That still doesn't change the fact that whole genres are almost exclusive to pc.

If pc gamers don't have great exclusives then why are there so many pc gamers?

Mr_Writer851912d ago

If PC has such great exclusives why do they port beg for console exclusives?

Or even own a console to play said exclusives?

I bet there are more PC gamers with consoles than there are those who only game on PC.

Movefasta19931912d ago

Answer my question first and then i'll answer yours, that's how things work smh.

TXIDarkAvenger1912d ago (Edited 1912d ago )

Are you being serious? Something like 200 people signing a petition to bring a console exclusive to PC doesn't mean the whole community is begging lmao. Not to mention it goes both ways. Just to name a few; PUBG, ARK, Hearthstone and even Starcraft 2 all had/have petitions to come to consoles.

Profchaos1912d ago

Because they need numbers to launch online petitions to make rockstar port gta v

TheOptimist1912d ago

I wouldn't go too much names, but the most complicated games are PC exclusives because controllers simply can't give you the flexibility a KB&M can.

modelgod1912d ago

Ok you just answered a question that I posted. I didn't realize that a mouse was better for gaming than a controller. See.....we learn something new everyday!

MrCrabPuss1912d ago

PP only has graphics? good one. Yeah its a real pain having to CONSTANTLY upgrade. Says the delusional console kid who's clearly never experienced a PC. ...oh wait lemme guess, you have a monster rig and it just sucks compared to your console?

Razzer1912d ago

I love PC and console gaming, but obviously they both have pros and cons. PC gaming does require a higher initial investment, but upgrading is usually not very expensive unless you want to always have top of the line stuff. The price very games are MUCH cheaper though as there is less competition with physical formats.

But you just don't get the exclusives like Horizon Zero Dawn and Zelda so I have my feet firmly planted in both PC and consoles realms.

Fluke_Skywalker1912d ago

Yup, I have always had a gaming PC, my first was a 286 with a 31mb hdd, yes I'm that old. But I have also always had consoles too. Both have pros and cons, thus I have always had both and always will.

Razzer1912d ago

lol....I remember upgrading to 286 and thinking I was the shit! My first PC was the old IBM 8088 version.

Yes....I'm older. :-)
