The SNES Classic Is Fine, But Why Does The Switch Still NOT Have A Virtual Console?

Shaz Mohsin says: "Because I’ve never played a lot of these 8-16 bit games, and would love to do so. But on a handheld, not a miniature console that I plug into my TV. That will most likely still have a 3 ½ inch controller cord. The SNES Classic is fine for those simply wanting a cheap way to replay some of their favourites, but for people like me, that want a Switch to play Breath of the Wild and…well that’s it actually, but also want to be able to play these great classics on the go, on the same system, the Virtual Console would be such a great selling point for Nintendo."

I have to say who cares I would much rather have SNES retro sitting under my TV and some Virtual Console games that's for damn sure. I just really wish I could have got a NES Mini and I'm hoping and handle pumps at enough of these SNES Minis definitely won't one. #Starfox 2

Rather not have the clutter and have it all in one place. Snes mini has obvious disadvantage of not being able to choose your games, and you can't add any other games to the system. That's very weak compared to the possibilites of the virtual console. The only reason I don't own a switch is Nintendo refuse to do it. Ridiculous.

not feelink like giving nintendo money for their old games AGAIN

So that this will sell obviously. The Switch will have a 'legacy' content section sometime after Sept. An many will double dip on these games for the Switch cause of portability. Nintendo smart mofos when it comes to this ish.

"Players can now hide system apps, pin favorites to the list, and reduce the number of tiles displayed. This update is part of our ongoing effort to make Home more personal, flexible, and responsive to feedback."

This is welcomed, i like a less cluttered home screen.

Not sure what games you're playing to average 5 to 6 hours battery. Mariokart World and Zelda gets 2 and a half hours max.

gold_drake14h ago

not sure if its a successor or an upgrade.

and theres no way u get 5 hours.

Yea don’t think id get 6 hours in sleep mode!

I think there’s a lot of internal software issues with the battery management.

Sleep mode kills the battery almost as quick as playing games does. Playing switch 1 games seems to kill the battery faster than playing switch 2 games for the most part. Even playing a very, very basic switch 1 game seems to drain the battery much faster than I would expect it to.
