Not often enough at all do flight simulators arrive on console, and Air Missions: HIND came out of nowhere. Is it one worth picking up?
Publisher Grindstone and developers Games Farm and 3Division are thrilled to announce that following a successful retail launch on Nintendo Switch in Japan, the action combat flight simulator game "Air Missions: HIND" is now available for European players.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "I expected something much worse. Air Missions: HIND is riddled with issues and a very complicated control scheme, but I won't deny, it's an alright game."
Pure PlayStation: Air Missions: HIND is a bad game, and it’s obvious from the very first moment you’re plonked into the pilot seat of one of the game’s faithfully recreated attack helicopters. I went into the game with low expectations anyway, but after ten minutes of frustration I was ready to call it a day.
Reviewer is dead wrong here. Apparently he has only ever flown super arcade style helos in games. From the first paragraph you can tell he’s just a crappy pilot. This game isn’t great but it isn’t close to a 1/10. Helicopters aren’t easy to fly. This game requires more brain power than the reviewer obviously possesses. You don’t just push a joystick in a direction and orchestrate airborne Rambo, which is what he was expecting.
Wow. The only thing more shocking other than the score he gave, is how p### poorly written this article is. Before he has even began he says he has "low expectations". Mentions about the controls, and how bad they are, but doesn't say how or what makes them bad. Just that they are bad. No real mention of adjustment to the controls via options. Why not mention other factors that are important in a game? Like options config settings? Or sound effects of the chopper and weapons? Are good, bad, half decent? What? or a deeper explanation about the graphics. Cockpits look good apparently with faithful recreations but it's no better than a last gen title. What's the difference between inside and outside visually? Is there a noticeable difference of graphics? After all, a cockpit is a (pretty much) fixed static image overlay, whilst the environment outside is dynamic. Do they work well together visually? Etc etc
Then goes off talking about a coffee cup he threw across the room and some soft sop story about his kid and how he "leaned close to his little head and promised I would never let him play a bad game". WTF is this? A games review or FB post?
