Higher resolution for an MMO is always good. Console UI just takes up so much bloody screen space lol

Gazondaily2498d ago

Nice!

"4K@30FPS while also getting those additional graphics effects that PS4 Pro only enables when running at 1080P resolution."

Impressive

Babadook72498d ago

So same res and frame rate as Pro but with slight bump to assets. This is what I've been saying for a while.

@Babadook
"So same res and frame rate as Pro but with slight bump to assets. This is what I've been saying for a while."

You mean the gap from the PS4 to the PS4 Pro is the same gap from the PS4 Pro to the Xbox One X? Yes, I also agree.

Babadook72498d ago

Then you don't know how to read. Pro runs it 4k 30 fps. Like one x. But one x has a very minor bump to settings. This is what the differences are. Oh well.

badz1492498d ago

"...will run at 4K@30 on XB1X just like on PS4 Pro..."

xbox fanboys be like...WTF Bethesda? if the Pro can do 4K, there's no way the X can't do more! I expect 4K60fps at the very least or 8K30fps. Sony is clearly paying for parity bla bla bla

@moldybread

"You mean the gap from the PS4 to the PS4 Pro is the same gap from the PS4 Pro to the Xbox One X? Yes, I also agree."

I´m not agree.

Gears 4 is native 4K/30fps on X vs Uncharted 4 1440p/30fps on Pro.

Now, show me a game which runs at native 1080p on PS4 while 720p on Xbox One, then, i´ll agree. ;)

@obscure

X1: 1.3Tflops
PS4: 1.8Tflops

X1: game runs 1080p@30fps, to get that to 2160p@30fps, need 4 times the GPU power, 4 x 1.3 = 5.2Tflops, 6Tflops is more than enough

PS4: game runs 1080p@30fps, to get that to 2160p@30fps, need 4 times the GPU power, 4 x 1.8 = 7.2 Tflops, 4.2 is not enough

Do you get it now??? The X1 can NOT run UC4 at 1080p@30fps, The One X would not be able to run UC4 at 2160p@30fps either...

Basic math, simple logic, but you keep going on and on about it...

loving the 4k 60fps guys well done ms.

TheUndertaker852498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

"The team is still making tweaks at this point, but he replied that it’s most likely going to run at 4K@30FPS while also getting those additional graphics effects that PS4 Pro only enables when running at 1080P resolution."

Pretty much states they chose to add effects on top of the 4K/30 PS4 Pro offers while Pro can only sustain those same effects at 1080p and not 4K.

That should also be somewhat telling as to how taxing their effects are. It'd make you wonder if Xbox One X could run it at 4K/60 without those effects.

Shadowlee2498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

Probably could run it but for an mmo I prefer 4k/30 with increase graphics over 4k/60 standard graphics. Only first person shooters, racers and fighters would i choose the 4k/60 option

Eonjay2498d ago

I don't understand this comment. It's not based on reality so....

threefootwang2498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

Nice try but that was never advertised. I've already mentioned this in a past post, but 4K/60 FPS was never advertised by Xbox or Phil Spencer. The goal was always 4K native, and that has been achieved.

Don't believe me? Research all past information regarding Project Scorpio.

GUTZnPAPERCUTZ2498d ago

Where are you getting this crap? No one ever stated every game will be 4k-60fps, get your defensive bs outta here

Vasto2498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

.

It would be an unfair advantage.

Nice to see a dev actually implementing more for the stronger hardware. Bungie.....take notice.

Kribwalker2498d ago

Yep someone is gonna take advantage of the OneX and not the paycheck #4theParity

Aenea2497d ago

Still believe in that parity BS, oh Krib *shakes head*

Allsystemgamer2498d ago

Yea cuz this is on the same graphic level as destiny.

Smh you people are too much.

2498d ago
Anzil2498d ago

@gapecanpie Destiny has great to awesome graphics for an FPS imo.

deadfrag2498d ago

4K BS!Why not make the games all at 1080p60fps using all the power of this mid-gen console upgrades and just skip 4K until next generation. Its already obvious that this mid-gen upgrades cant do true 4K without compromises.

OMGitzThatGuy2498d ago

60fps requires double the cpu usage AND double gpu usage while while 4k needs 4x gpu usage. If it hits 30fps on base consoles and the upgrades are slight overclocks what makes you think that games are capable of doubling so easy.

deadfrag2498d ago

You know what Asynchronous compute is?Well with the way that Cpu tasks can be render or achieve using the Gpu.This mid-gen consoles can use Asynchronous compute and if developers were smart they would use this rendering technique more often, and yes developers could achieve 1080p60fps with the PS4 pro and Xbox one X much more often if they used Asynchronous compute with there games not to mention they will still be able to achieve a very high graphic quality with Asynchronous compute.

conanlifts2498d ago

That's the next gen war "Worlds first true 4k60fps console" followed by "worlds most powerful 4k/61fps console"

Shadowlee2498d ago

60fps wont be that big a deal for an mmo imho. I dont see how it would make a difference in game

FITgamer2498d ago

Is this game still strong online? I put like hour or two into it when it first launched and haven't touch since. Been thinking about jumping back into it.

Kribwalker2498d ago

Me too. I think I'll hop back on when the OneX drops

Nightmar3Demom2498d ago

It has improved since it was released

Sam Fisher2498d ago

I don't know about xb but on the ps4 its got a strong community, so my guess is that yea most likely for xb aswell
