Ethan writes "After following the Kickstarter campaign and watching this game grow, I could not have been more excited when I found out I was going to be reviewing Friday the 13th: The Game. I’m a huge fan of the movies and longed for a game worthy of being associated with these cult classics. The second I turned it on I was greeted with some nostalgic 80’s TV style publisher and developer logos, which were accompanied by tinny sound and the bad quality you would find on an old home video. The scene was set and I was ready for things to get real scary, real fast."
Friday the 13th: The Game will be taken offline and all servers shut down after years of no updates following licensing disputes.
Ofc, but lets not act like it was only the disputes. Not enough people were playing it.
Half-Glass Gaming: "With Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Evil Dead, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, it looks like licensed horror games are having a moment, so let's enjoy the ride!"
Evil Dead is great. I'd love a Halloween game done this way. Maybe it's a 3 way fight. One player is Michael Myers. 5 players are helpless victims trying to survive, 3 players are hunters trying to stop Michael Myers. Hunters could be Laurie Strode, Dr. Loomis and Sheriff Brackett. Boom, I just laid out the game for you, Gun Media. Lets go.
All thise games would serve better being single player. I see multiplayer attached and i stopped even watching. Shame
We love to scare ourselves silly within the horror genre of video games. Thankfully, there are many to find on PlayStation Plus Premium, such as the intense Resident Evil VII: Biohazard and cult favorite Little Nightmares.
Despite being a wuss, Ive played other games with modes seemingly inspired by Jason's antics and had a blast. So it's a shame the actual game is a mess.
Private games were the only way I could play for 3 days after release so I gave up
I waited a few days before buying it and when I finally did I had a little trouble waiting to find matches but if eventually get one. The one issue I had was after near 50 matches I still hadn't played as Jason.
Now it's running a lot smoother though. You do get the occasional bug but nothing game destroying.
I absolutely love it and play a couple rounds nearly every night. 3 is a B.S. score and it serves only as a personal agenda to white knight the reviewer and make him feel better about himself
