I am surprised by the size, but that's never been a real selling point for me (I still own a phat PS3 and still have my phat XBO). But, technically, it's a good sign. A sign that focus is being put on convenience rather than just shoving as much tech as you can in there with 'this will do' PSU and cooling.

I would always prioritise reducing the noise over reducing the size. I had no problems with the original Xbox One being huge, as it was also the quietest console I've owned.

The One X has some genuinely impressive engineering behind it, being so small and packing relatively high clock speeds. If the single "large centrifugal fan" is a quiet performer then I tip my hat, but if it blows a storm I'll be a little disappointed.

This is named after Windows X, because it's focused around it.

Damn, this is the console I wanted my PS Pro to be. Enough power to run in native 4K and a 4K Bluray player. However without any confirmation of 60 FPS its really hard to leave Sony for this. There's no point in leaving 30 FPS trash for another piece of 30 FPS trash.

I wanted them to announce Dark Souls 3 60 FPS. Mic drop. Without that there's no real power. All of this so called native 4k could be nothing more than dynamic resolution fakery by MS. I still don't trust them.

I am very impressed with the hardware.. Such a shame its xbox because i feel this console wont be used to its potential.. Smaller than the xb1s and powerful as hell.. Im curious if people would rather have this than new games.. Or this over a PC.. I dont know there this fits in the market

I still don't understand what the Xbone X is?

With the PS4 & the Pro there's not much difference so it's clear it's just a slightly upgraded machine. The Xbone X though is a massive jump over the standard Xbone so i don't understand how the parity will work between models. Will it have its own games or just updated graphics & framerate.

I really like the look of it & I don't have an Xbone at all but I'm not buying it just to play the same games just somehow upgraded. Especially depending on what it actually is they might be releasing the Xbox 2 in a year or 2.

Basically I won't to buy the next gen Xbox... is this it or not??

No, it is just like the PS4 Pro. An upgrade that plays all the same games.

But I have been saying for a year now that MS is going to do away with console "generations" and I think this is the beginning of that.

They will support a few models at a time, the way Apple does with iOS.

In a couple years they will release a better Xbox, and then new games will stop supporting the original X1. That's my theory anyway.
