5 Best PSVR Games That Need PSVR 2 Ports

Alongside big hitters like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village, PSVR 2 is already home to some of the best PSVR games and experiences, like Moss and Tetris Effect. Better yet, some ports like Job Simulator, Song in The Smoke and Pistol Whip offer free cross-generation upgrades if you bought them for the original PSVR.

There are many PSVR titles we’d love to see leap onto PlayStation VR2. Here's our pick.

True indeed. Great picks. I'd also like Raw Data remastered, LA Noire, Iron Man, Arch Angel, Mortal Blitz and many others. We'll see what gets ported over time.

SullysCigar785d ago

There are so many that would benefit from a PSVR2 facelift with all the bells and whistles.

To add to your list, I'd also like: Hitman 1-3, Xing: The Land Beyond, The Room: VR, Red Matter, Farpoint, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, The Persistence, To the Top, Until You Fall, Arashi: Castles of Sin, Sniper Elite VR, Fracked, Dreams - I'm sure there are loads I've forgotten!

IAMTHEVOID785d ago

To add a sixth game to that list I need on ps vr2 is Vader Immortal

Abnor_Mal785d ago

Did anyone ever play Robinson: The Journey?

Oh and to add to the list I’d definitely put Bravo Team up for porting to PS5. I don’t understand why that game got so much flak when the only problem was the camera zooming out from first to third person when you had to move locations.

Other ports I would like to see wake its way over at some point would be DWVR, Immortsl Legacy, The Mages Tale, Killing Floor Incursion. Never played although I know I own them Unearthing Mars1/2 and Budget Cuts. Doom and Skyrim VR I’m not holding my breath on but would be nice.

EverydayJoe783d ago

I did. Was a beautiful game for its time.

MIDGETonSTILTS17785d ago (Edited 785d ago )

I would just add SUPERHOT.

Great list otherwise.

I’d easily pay $10 for an upgrade for any of these games, or full price for a vr2 version if I don’t own it yet.

Idc if the games are brand new, just as long as they work for my new headset.

Please update and take my money, devs 💰

Six racing games we'd love to play on PSVR2

Since we recently tried out Gran Turismo 7 on the PSVR2, it had us at Traxion.GG wondering what other racing titles might be just as intoxicating on this epic piece of hardware.

Here's a video discussing the games we'd like to see and our thoughts on the chances of a PSVR2 version for each of them.

Profchaos799d ago

I know it's never going to happen but a midnight club LA remaster with psvr2 support would be very high on my list along with NFS underground 1/2.

I wish I could play wipeout in VR but that was the only game I really struggled with motion sickness on.

ApocalypseShadow799d ago

I'd like Motor Storm, Tourist Trophy, Pod Racer, NFS Hot Pursuit 2, F355 Challenge and Mod Nation Racers. Just to start. Could use a lot more over the years.

Abnor_Mal799d ago

While I have no problem with circuit racers,, I would prefer more open world driving/racing games in vr.

Living cities with real traffic with drivers obeying road rules for the most part. Stopping for red lights, yielding for merging traffic and traffic jams.

I use to love just driving around in Midnight Club LA listening to the radio and using my Logitech wheel. I still do the same in the Crew1/2 but it’s not the same.

I’d also like to drive through GTA5s Los Santos in first person in vr but that’s not going to happen with a wheel on PS5.

The World Needs a New, AAA Anti-Gravity Racing Game

KeenGamer: "The time has come for a new anti-gravity racing game. For too long, consumers have made do with decent but lacking entries into the genre made by talented and underfunded developers. Publishers should cash in and give players the true AAA experience they crave."

Can someone please go and graffiti a bunch of F-Zero related art onto Nintendo's buildings... While we're at it, throw some Metroid art in as well. Maybe then they'll remember they actually have other IP's besides Mario and Zelda. Who am I kidding, they wouldn't recognize Samus or Captain Falcon anymore anyway lol.

This is one of the main reasons I hate Nintendo as a company. Unless it brings them buckets of money, they just don't care.

Neonridr1493d ago

I'm sure a new F-Zero would do just that though, bring them buckets of money. I've been dying for one since GX on the Cube.

Snookies121493d ago (Edited 1493d ago )

See, you've got to look at it from Nintendo's perspective. Nintendo's perception of "buckets of money" is a Mario game. Because that will always sell way more than F-Zero would. Same with Zelda always outselling Metroid. Why take a risk bringing back a series that isn't actually assured to rake in money? That seems to be their mindset now.

I'm sure F-Zero would still make a good amount of money, but clearly Nintendo doesn't think it's worth the time to invest in it. Because it will never make as much as a Mario game will unfortunately.

As a side note, I did absolutely love GX. I played the hell out of that game, over and over. Some of the most thrilling racing I've ever experienced in a game. Which is why it hurts knowing that Nintendo just doesn't care about the series anymore.

Neonridr1493d ago

I always thought Nintendo should have bought Shin'en and gave them the rights to F-Zero after seeing their good job with Fast Racing League on the Wii U and Switch.

Maybe Sony will surprise us with another Wipeout too.

darthv721492d ago

that would be an ideal developer to make a new FZero. They certainly have the chops to pull off that sensation of speed and quick reflex driving. Hell, Id love to see them make a switch update to some of their previous games like Iridion and Nanostray

Outlawzz1492d ago

Yea shin'en did amazing with fast racing. I just couldn't play for hours on end because it lacked that "one more round" appeal for me but I enjoyed it for what it was.

If they could make the same game with some fzero characters and maybe a decent story campaign i think it would sell pretty well.

Gameseeker_Frampt1492d ago

Shin'en is really all over the place with game genres though and I'm not sure they would want to make another racing game. Their last 4 games are Nano Assault (twin stick shooter), Fast Racing Neo (anti-grav racer), Art of Balance (puzzle), and The Touryst (3rd person adventure). Definitely an interesting studio.

The chance of Sony making a new Wipeout under the leadership of Jim Ryan is next to nothing.

Neonridr1492d ago

oh for sure, Shin'en definitely isn't just a one genre studio. I just meant they did such a good job with Fast Racing, and it's so much like F-Zero already.

SullysCigar1493d ago

Go play Wipeout Collection on PSVR. It feels amazing and looks gorgeous - like a next gen leap in terms of the experience it provides.

Neonridr1492d ago

it's like that scene from the movie Hackers taken to the next level :P

Inverno1492d ago

get used to it, the AAA industry will just get further and further from their PS2 and early PS3 days. Gone are the days of arcade-ish racers and platformers. Now all we get are TPS with realistic graphics. Every indie dev team made of industry vets end up making some generic multiplayer or another shooter while every small indie dev either make another generic 2D platformer or struggle to make something in 3D.

Teflon021492d ago

WipEout was underappreciated. Would love a new one where they go all out, but really F Zero would probably be the only one that wouldn't bankrupt a company being AAA. It's a Niche Genre WipEout and F Zero realistically are the only 2 options if you want AAA
