If it showed at Sony E3 2017, I would die happily.

Then you miss out on Bloodborne 3...

UCForce2617d ago

It's not coming out yet.

Did i miss something, was there a leak, a hint or some other info? I thought FROM was giving these styles of games a rest for a while and working on other IP

I think one thing they should do is make a true 3 / 4 player co-op mode.

As much as I enjoy singleplayer I have to say co-op is even more chaotic fun, and it was definitely the best way to get my friends to play the game as well, who weren't up for the challenge.

Love this video, at 0:08 the other two come in and see the boss and back up like "Oh S#!t" XD

-Foxtrot2617d ago (Edited 2617d ago )

Nah...co-op should stay away from these kind of games. The best thing about them is the "you vs the world and it's impossible like odds" themes.

If you play with friends it becomes easier, then you could do easier grinds which would level you up faster again making it easier.

If people want a game built up for co-op where it's all about fun then they should look elsewhere

ABizzel12617d ago

I disagree.

You want the game to be successful, and for it to be more successful it needs to sell more. If I were not able to allow my friends to join me and teach them the ropes and help carry them through stages, then they wouldn't have even bothered with the game at all, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who helped others get into the game via co-op.

And as always you can still play by yourself.

I agree the game should be made for single player first and foremost, and if scaling needs to be done to balance co-op and stop teams of 3 or 4 from grinding up fast, then so be it. But Co-op should definitely be there. There's a serious lack of good standout co-op games this generation, especially in the RPG and Hack genres. Having a traditional co-op (since it already has the foundation for it), would only make the games more accessible to the masses, and give the game more success.

But again by all means you should be able to block anyone from joining your game, and enemies should have more health and level boost should be cut back a great percentage when playing with co-op to balance the game more.

Movefasta19932617d ago (Edited 2617d ago )

I think every souls player knows the first play through solo is the most memorable playthrough in a souls game , co op later adds replay ability and so does pvp but everyone should take on the world by themselves first

nX2617d ago

Coop is essential for this type of game, find some friends or gtfo.

andrewsquall2617d ago

@ABizzel1 Nah let Microsoft announce a new (needlessly) online co-op game by From Software at E3 2017 only to cancel it January 2019.

DarXyde2617d ago

I don't mind co-op, but I refuse to use it on my first play through. I have too much pride to accept any form of help when the experience is novel.

objdadon2616d ago (Edited 2616d ago )

"don't mind co-op, but I refuse to use it on my first play through. I have too much pride to accept any form of help when the experience is novel."

So there are some real gamers left in this community, a pleasant surprise.

littlezizu2617d ago

You know you can coop in bloodborne right. Upto max 3 players. But you need find an item for coop it can be bought in shop or killing certain enemies

ABizzel12617d ago

"I think one thing they should do is make a true 3 / 4 player co-op mode.

XD

Yeah I know there's co-op, it's just not a traditional co-op mode.

Helios862617d ago

I can enjoy co-op in the soulsborne games. But I also have a rule to always play it solo first, and I advise everyone to do the same because that feeling of singlehandedly taking down a boss only comes once. Savour it people :).

But I'd rather you co-op than put the game on the shelf.

We want to see BB II at E3 soooo bad.

Hanso2616d ago

me too but i really dont think BB II will release on Ps4
I expect it on Ps5

corroios2617d ago

Lets wait and see. This one could have a bigger impact, because now gamers already know what to expect.

DarXyde2617d ago (Edited 2617d ago )

So there's been a ton of speculation regarding a Bloodborne sequel.

Have we gotten anything that resembles confirmation yet? I don't mean to be a Debby downer, but you all should really manage your expectations.

It would be pretty unfortunate if everyone started getting hyped about a sequel and nothing is announced.

ReesesPuffs2617d ago

Odds are we won't be seeing Bloodborne 2 at all unless From Software locked into a deal for sequels. That of Sony is developing it by themselves. From just got bought up by a big Japanese publisher so odds are we won't be seeing Bloodborne 2. Don't know why everyone is hyping it up.

TWB2617d ago

From didnt get bought by a publisher AFAIK. I think it was just some sort of company and not a publisher. They have even later said that they wont be meddling with From's stuff.

Goldby2617d ago

Sony owns the IP and had Japan Studio working with From Software,

For all we know Japan Studio may be leading the charge if From doesnt want to make these games any more

Majin-vegeta2617d ago

The only thing they're working on 3 projects and 2 are PS exclusives with one of those being a JRPG

Hanso2616d ago

well there is twitter foto of Miyazaki and Shu together eating.
Could mean nothing though lol

Is the industry hurting for money or not?

Hofstaderman1d 7h ago

They belong to XBOX. Its a dog's life....

Chocoburger1d 7h ago

Nice thing they did, but not actually gaming related, not sure why this article was approved. Also strange informing us what game Rare worked on, as if we don't know their legacy.

Tacoboto1d 7h ago

Sorry you hate dog news - here's a game-related headline for you, the latest: "Deathsprint 66 is a hyperviolent freerunner that proves game journos suck at games | Video Gamer"

Yeah we need more headlines like *that* on this site, instead of news about a studio's employee perks.

GaboonViper1d 7h ago

Its actually nice to see a story like this instead of the usual doom and gloom but people still moan, anyhow hope these beautiful doggos have a great life.

1d 7h ago
GaboonViper1d 7h ago

Really nice story, kudos to Rare.

Mulletino13h ago

I went to look at new apartments and saw only dog parks, no kid parks. We're so screwed.

Damn was hoping for a fantasy setting. Looks futuristic

jznrpg1d 9h ago (Edited 1d 9h ago )

I think that’s a screensaver if you look to the right it looks more like a fantasy game and so does the concept art leaked earlier. Who knows though

phoenixwing11h ago

Unless that structure/pillar thingy in the right picture is long forgotten technology it's futuristic.

Name Last Name1d 10h ago (Edited 1d 10h ago )

Another shooter? Yawn. Thought the prevous concept looked more fantasy.

just_looken20h ago

With there same look on the right a arena setting this might be live service game #5 from sony

So a live service shooter like concord.....

StormSnooper19h ago

It looks like a fantasy game on the right screen. You are looking at a screensaver.

Goodguy011d 10h ago

Been looking forward to what they have next. Looks interesting.

Eonjay1d 10h ago

Really excited to see them release an original IP

GaboonViper1d 6h ago

Looks like my dream of them remaking Metal Gear Solid is over, still cant wait to see what they are cooking up.

Unions in gaming are necessary fr fr

montebristo1d 9h ago

I used to be anti-union, it kills productivity, investment and turns product mediocre. Their games suck anyways though so what was lost? Might as well get their people paid until they are dissolved.

shinoff21831d 8h ago

Unions are necessary regardless of how you feel. You know how fked the working class would be without them. As if we're not already.

montebristo1d 7h ago

No they aren’t, regardless of how you feel. Unions make zero sense for skill based labor. They are for people who press a button every 10 seconds on an assembly line. “working class” is a made up term. I don’t care about corporations or developers, I just want good games lol. Killing your incentives to appease the lowest common denominator doesn’t lead to great games imo

montebristo1d 2h ago (Edited 1d 2h ago )

I wasn’t trying to be offensive if I came off that way. The Union is an old mentality and I can see their usefulness but also the danger. We’re in the age of AI and robots and skill based labor. Unions can be dangerous these days. You could replace your entire workforce in one move. Checkmate. Look to the kiosk replacing workers in the 20 dollar minimum wage era.

Well run businesses don’t need unions. If you need a Union that business won’t survive anyway. Unless it’s propped up by the government with corporate welfare (which is the real issue). If you’re not going to spend some on your workers (Amazon, Google) then your welfare is cut off. No tax breaks. All you put together don’t match their wealth and resources, the union is a traditional memory at this point and counterproductive with this new enemy we face. They need a flying elbow from the top ropes. And by “working class is a made up term” I just mean we’re not a class system and even CEO Bobby Kotick puts in a days work lol. Or did.. It’s just a vague term that doesn’t mean anything no offense lol. People say “middle class” but that can change quick right? Up or down. That’s not a “class system”.
