This week's episode of Hey Poor Player's Second Opinion series weighs in not on a game, but on the recent discussion about Valve's "good guy" pro-customer persona.
Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt explains how the studio name comes from a name translation, plus the background on the game title “Helldivers.”
Microsoft's Activision subsidiary announced today that it is opening a new game development studio to take advantage of the huge talent pool growing in Poland. It'll be the second Activision studio based in the region, joining Infinity Ward Krakow, although this studio is, in fact, not working on Call of Duty.
Developer Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse announce that their city building sim Manor Lords has sold over two million copies since launch.
Still waiting for its first patch which is worrying. I know it’s been a single man developer but there’s really no excuse for no updates being released since launch. I’ve been part of many single developer releases that are updated daily, sometimes hourly. This’s hasn’t had a single one yet….
It's still a company at the end of the day.
They dont hate anyone, they need to make money. Sounds like propaganda from another company
A certain company must be behind these attacks on Valve. Pulling the puppet strings of the gaming media.
The guy in the video said he hates valve, so his opinion is biased. Why wouldn't valve love everyone after making tons of money?
I really don't get all this valve hate lately. They definitely don't hate us, we're their customers and without us they would make no money. They may not care about us because at the end of the day they are a business. The funny thing is, everybody claims they've somehow gained too much good will, but how? I've never once in all my years of using steam felt like they were trying to convince me they were the "good guy". They simply provided a very user friendly market for games that have killer sales. Any good will they've earned was simply because the customers enjoyed their service. This hate is just ignorant.
