SuperGen says, "Sometimes, it takes a while for western audiences to get even the most popular of franchises from Japan. This is the case with Utawarerumono, which released almost fifteen years ago. The only reason we knew of its existence here was thanks to a fan translation and plenty of meme’s about the actual name. ATLUS decided that now would be a good time to bring over the second (and later this year, the third) games in the series, and I’m so glad they did!"
ShiraVN released a new trailer for the PC release of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, coming to Steam on January 23.
ShiraVN announced that they have partnered with Aquaplus to release Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth on PC on December 17.
The Japanese game with a long name many people will probably need to take a while to remember and learn how to spell is taking hold outside of Japan. By 2020, all four games in the Utawarerumono series will be available everywhere! It’s pretty cool!
