The last game in the Ghost Recon series has made a lot of noise. It has sold quite well and the public reception has been good. The biggest problem the game has is offline. Ghost Recon: Wildlands is mainly online game, but since Ubisoft decided to allow offline play with AI. But the Ghost Recon: Wildlands bots have upset many players.
Although the problem has to do primarily with the decisions that seem to be made by our AI-driven peers, there are ways to use them better. So here’s a list of 5 tips to play better with the Ghost Recon: Wildlands bots.
Regardless of your views on Destiny 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, or Call of Duty: WWII, 2017 was certainly an interesting time for shooting games as companies and consumers clashed on microtransacions.
unfortunately very few shooters have compelling stories, so the single player campaigns are basic steps to the multiplayer, which to keep generating revenue are filled with DLC , DLC on the disc , loot boxes , and other cosmetic upgrades. Fighting games do this now with DLC characters, pay to dress up costumes, loot box power ups.... Its all about how much cash can you squeeze from your loyal fanbase before they abandon you, or maybe they wont.... This is why the bell has been sounding for the single player game....there has been no way to find a way to keep squeezing money from fans except for additional story DLC....which wont sell if the original story was not good or too short. Uncharted a great story experience had to add 'shooter' multiplayer to installment #2 to keep going...Cash is king and if a game isnt a hit out of the gate with many ways to keep generating that cash its dead in the water...
I was shocked, but I ended up not liking Wolfenstein II at all. I played it for a couple days and then deleted it. I found the gunplay loose and imprecise. Aiming down sights was also a mess as the guns were so big and cumbersome they'd obstruct my target; It didn't help matters that the guns also had insane recoil.
Enemies also felt like bullet sponges at times too, especially when using the submachine gun. I don't know, I guess I was surprised, because I really liked the first game. The graphics and story were top notch, but the gunplay just didnt work for me.
I found Wolfenstein 2 to be the best shooter this year. The sequel was not quite as good as the original from 2014 but it was still a fun single player experience enhanced by the opportunity to slay Nazis in a game.
I have played Call of Duty from the first game released on PC and I could not help but compare COD WW2 with the first five or six WW2 Call of Duty games and, unfortunately, as good as it was, it was just not as good as the first 2 or even COD: World at War. However, a return to the WW2 era was very welcome and I hope the next one will aspire to be more and better.
Battlefront 2 was ruined by EA with loot boxes and trying to squeeze as much as the company can from gamers. I gave it a miss like many others for good reasons. Will EA learn? I doubt it.
Today, Ubisoft released its sales figures for the fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2017. And surprisingly, Ghost Recon Wildlands is still 2017’s top selling video game. For Honor was 2nd on that list, but it has fallen off since.
The freedom of choosing when & how to tackle things is what I enjoy most. Playing with my friends & coming up with different methods to tackle a situation. I also enjoy shooting a member of either faction & making them think it was the other. Cleared an entire mansion minus 1 guy that way once.
How?
I've hardly heard anyone I know even play this and the majority of them are all on different games from each other
Really? I haven't seen anyone playing this or talking about this game since it's first few weeks. I've wanted it but I'll wait for black Friday for it to be 20 bucks, the last couple Tom Clancy games have been subpar this generation. Looks interesting though.
The game is good, nothing innovative but its a fun game.
A solid 8 out of 10
Love Wildlands. Understand why people hate it, being so repetitive, but on extreme difficulty with no HUD it really comes alive.
There's really only so many games that qualify as action games this year (at least off the top of my head). It makes sense some less than stellar games would make the cut.
