PC Game Streaming on the Nintendo Switch is in Development

Rainway, is an app that is in development that aims to bring 60 fps streaming of PC games on compatible devices. One of which is the Nintendo Switch.

None or all depending how you look at it. It just streams the output of your PC so any game you can have on your PC should work....

I'm not even sure the majority of this platforms fanbase even recognize that such a feature has already existed Elsewhere for quite some time.

guess it would depend on how you controlled the game you streamed. I mean if you went all out and got a bluetooth controller and a holder for your phone and put it all together I guess you could say you did it before. But for those who tried to play a game on their phone using touch screen controls, it isn't even close to the same thing.

@neonridr - if someone buying switch for this they can easily buy a cheap controller for their phones instead, also phones have far superior screen and much better battery life when streaming from PC.

It supports the Xbox and Switch but not the PS4 (likely due to Sony and thier policies) which is probably why he's upset.

I don't believe it's that interesting regardless of what platform it's on.

I've never use the streaming feature for PlayStation 4 to PlayStation Vita I don't even own a Vita lol

I think I used the streaming feature from PSP to PlayStation 3 maybe once.

And I don't use the feature for Steam on PC, I think I only tried it once or twice when it first came out.

So with me planning to purchase a Switch, I don't really see me using a feature that I've actually neglected to use on several other devices.

Everyone knows they just prefer to do it in handheld mode on the switch or on the tv with pro controller or grip, or table top mode while out in a restaurant..........if you prefer to play on tablets go ahead but switch more comfortable for us

everything you mention can be done with a phone or tablet. while switch is a cool device this feature isnt, as its widely available even if you dont have a shield, the app is free and runs on any windows/ios/android phone.

It's somewhat interesting but I had a hard time seeing how the application could really be useful.

I mean a lot of you guys need to consider that many of us have gaming PCs with steam accounts and still don't really use this feature

So you have to consider if you're wondering about the appeal of such an application all you have to do is look back at those 2014 and 2015 articles regarding streaming games to cell phones tablet etc

Yes please. This is a feature i have wanted since day 1. Personally i am hoping it is part of nintendos vision. Even if they couple it with their online service.

come on.. we all know there are 2 titles worth playing - Mario Kart and Zelda

all jokes aside, there are actually quite a few awesome titles on there. Shovel Knight, Wonderboy, Fast RMX.. all great titles.

It would be amazing if they made it so this app could be used to download certain Steam games onto Switch, but as I don't know how this works, I'm not getting my hopes up...
