TheColbertinator2956d ago

Kinda hoping Ninty allows this seeing as how the nvidia shield does game streaming too.

Einhander19712956d ago

Nintendo switch a juggernaut 😀

rytlok2956d ago

If this works out i'm curious to see what games come out for it

Aenea2956d ago

None or all depending how you look at it. It just streams the output of your PC so any game you can have on your PC should work....

Microsoft Removes Rainway Beta From The App Store

They were all set to go and had the press releases out and then news arrived that Microsoft had it removed from the App Store.

Araragifeels 1961d ago

Oof. It would have brought troubles anyways.

Garethvk1961d ago

It is just odd they were all set to go and then "unexpected circumstances" caused them to be asked by MS to remove it.

lifeisgamesok1961d ago

Yup, I knew it would happen as soon as I saw people were playing Detroit Become Human and MLB on it

Garethvk1961d ago

That is direct from their p.r. they may have a time limit to remove it by.

Sgt_Slaughter1961d ago

Not sure how anyone thought this would work

xX1NORM1Xx1961d ago

in b4 microsoft buys rainway and adds its features to xcloud or something...

Wouldn't this be something this company can get in trouble for?

Wikkid6661964d ago

It's just a streaming service like PS Now and xCloud.

RazzerRedux1964d ago

No, it is just a streaming app. It isn't a service like PS Now or xCloud at all. You are streaming from your PC to your Xbox.

Christopher1964d ago

No. It's independent of the software. It's just streaming from one hardware to another.

RazzerRedux1964d ago (Edited 1964d ago )

So you stream from your PC to your Xbox. It is basically like using your Xbox like a Steam link device. Nice they are having a free beta to see how well it works.

@xxShadow-Shockxx

No, because it is streaming. You are still playing the game on your PC, just remotely. You still have to own the game and have a capable PC.

Lennoxb631964d ago (Edited 1964d ago )

I stand corrected.

RazzerRedux1964d ago (Edited 1964d ago )

That is not correct. The article isn't clear on this at all, but it is all your hardware. There is no cloud service whatsoever.

"Requirements are:

Install the Rainway Dashboard.
Have your host computer on and logged into Rainway."

"Each game will stream differently depending on your hardware and internet speeds, but if your PC can run the game and your stream settings are set to the connection you’re on, you will get a smooth stream."

Suppose this function/app was capable of running on the XSX ? Console war over?

Kabaneri1964d ago

This console war crap is so annoying and childish are we in 2013. Honestly if you cant afford both you're either a kid or a peasant.

xxShadow-Shockxx1964d ago

I only own ps4 and im neither, some people just dont want both, i agree about console wars tho

KwietStorm_BLM1964d ago

You started off so well too..

Christopher1964d ago

I guess so since the whole purpose of it is to own multiple platforms and stream from PC to other platforms?
