it's not exactly fair to compare a game that only has one world with a game that has over 18 quintrillion worlds.

jagermaster6192930d ago

It's also not fair to promise things that are supposed to be in the game and sell it at full price then hide away when people ask where these features are. If they would have been honest then we would not be in this situation. I guess they are happy with the greed that they have laid down!

Goldby2930d ago

except he didn't hide away, but hey, that what happens when you just follow the hate wagon.

Hello games was quiet after its release probably for a bunch of reasons. one mainly being sony. telling them not to say anything that might dig their whole deeper than it already was, and 2, they were working on updates, you know the Foundation update that people wanted so they could build bases, and the pathfinder update that brought in land vehicles and some multiplayer aspects.

samden2930d ago

@Goldby, I'm not sure about Sony telling them to tread carefully but it is a possibility. Hello Games did come out and state with the Foundation Update that they went silent because of the PR mess they had gotten into, they didn't want to dig the hole deeper. It really was a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

XanderZane2929d ago

@Goldby
Sony was too busy telling the public they had nothing to do with the game's developer and it was all Hello Games'! fault for all the missing content. lol!! They pretty much threw Hello Games! under the bus and walked away from the disaster.

gangsta_red2930d ago

I'd rather have one extremely well made world than 18 quintrillion garbage ones.

Goldby2930d ago

and nothing wrong with that, but its not right on for a gaming jorunalist to compare the two. thats like comparing Table Top Racing to Gran Tursimo. and saying that the level of detail in Gran turismo is what Table top should hav been.

the only thing that NMs and Planet nomads have in common are that they are both survival space games. either than that, they are two very different games, one being built procedurally, they other isn't

True, also not fair bc mass effect: Andromeda is the no mans sky that no mans sky should have been, though it doesn't have 18 quintillion planets.

GNious2929d ago

Did something change with the release-plans for this game, since N4G has the article marked as PS4 and X1? Devs have, AFAIK, only stated support for Windows, Linux, and Mac

Planet Nomads - PC Preview | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

Note to self that if I ever, ever, get on a spaceship? I should stay away from the escape pods. Why? Because in this title I find myself once again crash landing on a planet’s surface. Planet Nomads is exactly what I had expected out of Lacuna Passage, with a variety of indigenous beings and plenty of things to toy with as I attempt to survive.
