Dear retailer, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe isn’t coming to Xbox One

We've seen retailers confusing video game platforms before, and the Switch is no exception. One retailer believes that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is coming to the Xbox One, and urges you to pre-order it.

If a retailer thinks Mario Kart is coming to Xbox, they need to hire at least 1 gamer and not a bunch of fake gamers who act like they know what they are talking about

Support your local mom and pop game shops if you have any. I just found one near me that I didn't know about. I'm going to check it out today, and if I like what I see I will be taking 100% of my video game business there. I'm so tired of dealing with store employees that don't care and have no clue about gaming.

I get where you're coming from but not everyone plays game's. I'm pretty sure you can research forms on a game you're interested in getting that you don't know anything about. For me its persona 5. Never played any.

@ Georeo, I don't need gaming advice or recommendations from employees. I'm very informed on gaming news, rather I'd like employees to at least be aware of promotions, release dates and potential stock in their own department /store. It would also be nice to shoot the shit about games you know?

My biggest problem at retailers has always been that they dont know what they're selling half the time.

I remember when I went to get a TV. This man came to help me. He didn't know anything about TV's. Good color good color is all he kept saying. HD! lol.

since there's not an abundance of spare Switch cases it's likely a XB1 case was used. The image clearly shows Mario Kart for the Switch on the label. I will say that using a spare dvd or blu ray case would have been better or even covering up the XB1 writing then displaying it. But the fact is it's just a box to put on the shelf with the Mario Kart 8 art, on Switch, out so consumers see it.

I think they had run out of Switch cases and were using XBox One cases for people to pre-order. They could have least taped over the XBox One logo on the cases and put "Switch" there. lol!! What a bunch of idiots.

Don't believe everything you read on the net. Probably some idiot switcher the case on the floor to create something news worthy. At least news worthy in his/her opinion. I know we had to use VITA cases at first to hold switch sleeves because Nintendo had not sent us cases yet and wanted their sleeves on the floor.

Yea how is this newsworthy? It's either a prank, a fake, or a placeholder case the store may have used. Either way it's a non-issue.

it's [probably one of those mom and pop shops that dont have a large supply of Switch cases for display purposes, it says switch on a sticker in the top right so it's probably justa placeholder case

I remember seeing Horizon Zero Dawn being put into an Xbox One case.

It's obviously because they didn't have enough cases to display the game in.
