How dare they make an ad showing off thick girls like that. Pure rubbish I tell you lol.

LackTrue4K2945d ago

Love them ads! Them girls are gorgeous!

Nu2945d ago

She is sexy they just jealous they are skinny and anorexic.

Princess_Pilfer2945d ago

No. Those women are probably overweight, possibly obese, and either way it's not healthy. There is a difference between "don't shame regular women for not meeting the impossible standards of a very lucky few" and "lets glorify being grossly overweight."

I've spent the last 8 months losing 38 pounds to get to a healthy weight, because I was literally (if only barely) obese, and I was thinner than any of those women even before I started.

That said, the whole "you can't sexualize women" thing is also BS and the add shouldn't be banned. Provided it's on my own terms (as it would be if I voluntarily did a commercial in a skimpy bikini) I *like* being sexualized, and it doesn't do any demonstrable harm to anybody or anything (except the feelings whiny idiots who're offended by ficticious nonsense like micro aggressions) so the government shouldn't have a right to say anything.

Funniest thing, the ASA received ONE....read that as One singular....complaint. Thus it was banned after an "investigation", where the developers gave their reasons for why it was the way it was.

Reminds me of the thing from south park where the TV exec says "As we all know, one person equals 1 billion".

Why do I feel like the ad is attacking all the other games with similar advertising just using well known, normal sized models that don't get banned by the ASA?

They're objectifying themselves, nobody's making these rather rotund women walk around in bathing suits playing Mobile Strike. In fact, these women have a their own youtube channel objectifying themselves. Have a look! https://www.youtube.com/cha...

Fist4achin2945d ago

Whoa, hold the phone. You mean a video game has objectified a woman?! This is the first I've ever heard about this

hollabox2945d ago

They have their own channel objectifying themselves. Here's the link! Some of them are fine as hell, others a little too damn fat. https://www.youtube.com/use...

Videogames have always objectified characters, male and female. Males and females are objectified in different ways, but equally as frequent. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Final Fantasy 15: A New Empire is a Terrible Re-Skin of Mobile Strike

Dash The Bomber writes: "Final Fantasy 15 is great, at this point anyone who has played it knows that fact. I mean what's there not to love about FFXV? It's literally a Japanese boy band simulation where you travel the world taking selfies, fishing, and kicking all kinds of enemy rears as the player can muster. But, a recently released title bearing a familiar title has reached our Western shores with the caption of A New Empire and it promises to merge Final Fantasy and City Builder titles together in a fantastic marriage of epic proportions. But, unfortunately what was anticipated by Square Enix to be a loving marriage ended up becoming the unholy matrimony of two series that should have never consummated their union. Yes, Final Fantasy 15: A New Empire is bad and it's also a unfortunate mad dash for quick money and nothing else."

By this point, Final Fantasy 15 pocket edition seems to look like a mobile game masterpiece.

Darkwatchman2799d ago

You have a game that was in development hell for 15 years and it has a film tie-in, anime tie-in, pre-order bonus smaller side story game, and a mobile game and you really expected the mobile game to be good? They're just trying to milk 15 like they milked 7.

Goldby2799d ago

Milked 7...

There was the game, 2 spin offs and a movie and a remake.

Darkwatchman2799d ago (Edited 2799d ago )

Please tell me how many numbered FF games have film tie-ins and spin-offs? Oh right. None except 7 and 15. I guess you can count the DS sequel to 12 as a spin-off.
