"Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is a GameCube sequel to the unique 2.5D role-playing game for the Nintendo 64. The game is zany and over-the-top and its comedy hits all the right notes throughout the charming 30-40 hour story." -- Nintendo Enthusiast
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door will be one of the first Gamecube games I download (hopefully on Switch soon)...
I can't believe they have never been able to take the Thousand Year Door gameplay and make a better game out of it.
Luigis Mansion is another game they've never been able to top. Dark Moon was awful compared to the original and I hope they just stick to the fact that in some regions they didn't call it Luigis Mansion 2, I'd rather see a real sequel on the Switch.
Mario Kart Double Dash is overrated. Mario Kart 8 is a league better than Double Dash.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle yeah. Sonic Colors comes close for me though.
Glad he put Sonic Adventure 2: Battle as an honorable mention. I do think it hasn't been topped in terms of story/gameplay/systems/etc . . . But it just has far too many problems and frustrating moments to definitively declare it a better game than Colors or Generations. Camera issues, control issues, some incredibly frustrating levels, weird difficulty spikes, etc . . .
I'd gotten over 150 of the emblems in the game and then my GC memory card corrupted. We lost all our save data. I've got like 120 in a new save file but I can't bring myself to go through the trouble of collecting them all.
