Paul writes - "Nostalgia eh? It’s a funny old thing and make no mistake, it seems that at the moment there is a real fad happening for re-releasing old games on modern generation consoles. By and large this is a good thing. As I referred to in my Metal Slug review, I never had a Neo Geo as a kid, and consequently have never played any of these game that are hitting the store. This time, it is the turn of Sengoku to get the treatment, a game which first released way back in 1991, when this reviewer was a fresh faced 18 year old with the world at his feet. So, 26 years on, has time been kind to Sengoku, or should it have stayed a memory?"
Neil writes "So, 2017 is at the halfway point and we’ve seen a whole host of games cross our paths throughout the first six months of the year. There have been great games, there have been good games and there have been average games. But, for one reason or another, there have also been games that are crap, utterly disgusting affairs that are not worth anyone’s time.
Bluntly put, if you’ve got any of the six games found below in your digital Xbox One library, you should be ready to burn your hard drive at the earliest opportunity."
Friday the 13th had the potential to be a good game the actual game play is good but there is just a lack of content and poor execution there its a shame really
Neil writes "We've seen a flurry of old NEOGEO classics hit the Xbox One Games Store in recent weeks, with gamers split between whether heading back nearly 30 years is a good or bad thing. Today though, another SNK stunner has arrived - SENGOKU."
Going back even further in time to get some relevance I see. The mighty have fallen and by fallen I mean plummeted into a chasm of no return.
I don't think I'd have time to head back to these anyway with the backlog still unfinished, but it's a shame to see this one sucking so much
lol, reviewing a game from 26 years ago as if it was created today. I played it on arcades and it was awesome at the time and it still is great to play on my recalbox machine.
Brilliant game, sengoku 2 better though:)
