NieR: Automata is a once in a generation kind of game that must be encouraged and supported
The PS4 suffers from no shortage of great RPGs. From expansive open world ventures to fully realized fantasy offerings, there's a lot to try.
NieR: Automata has received a surprise update, version 1.07, on the PS4, which appears to have resolved a major bug that has long troubled the game.
thats interesting so many years later. never encountered any crashes in my multiple playthroughs but great nonetheless for those affected.
That's excellent news that crashing happened to me at least 50 times while playing the game a few months ago before playing Stellar Blade almost a game ending bug for some people because you have to pass that area to beat the game and it just kept happening
Stellar Blade's creative director, Hyung Tae Kim, has also claimed that the game is deeply inspired by Nier: Automata.
I feel like Yoko is downgrading Automata because he has expressed multiple times he'd like to revisit the universe, but Squenix hasn't been keen about it. We know he loves 2B and would love to take her out for another spin, so maybe this is how he gets the company to think about it.
I get he's giving them some credit, but i strongly disagree based on the demo. I honestly don't think any aspect of it feels good, it's not bad, it's just kinda ok but definitely a little jank. Also the souls like formula it is adopting does not help it imo. I was looking forward to this for years, now im just kinda let down honestly 🫤
Man exputer can you stop putting words like that after someone's name, i read Yoko Taro Passes and just went blank
(From the demo) Stellar has better direction in terms of stage layout if you like that ninja gaiden type feel. Nier is more polished by far.
Cons
– Missions sometimes feel flat and repetitive
I found this ironic. 3 separate sentences in the review he repeated. He said it again in the next paragraph. The first I found odd. The second I had to go back and read it again to make sure I wasnt dreaming. The third I was shaking my head.
Maybe a bit of proofreading is in order?
I did 30 hours yet, I didnt repeat any mission except failing or forget to save :)
Just ordered this. Hoping I like it. So many games to catch up on.
I really want to play this game, but i've got too many games in my backlog, and in April Persona 5 will come out so all my time will be occupied with that game. Hopefully i will be able to play this game sometimes in the future.
