Why the Yiga Hideout is the worst part of Breath of the Wild

Even great games can have disappointing segments, especially when those games are as massive as Breath of the Wild

"No, here you are forced to play the game stealthy or die trying – and die you will."

Not true. I managed it without stealth and fought everyone in the hide out and came out fine; you just need to be smart with how you approach and attack them. I had 7 hearts at this part so I took it relatively slow.

EddieNX 3026d ago

When all the Yiga attack you at once, its near enough impossible to fight them all! One hit KO there's like 5 of them that you can barely damage! It feels harder than DarkSouls at that stage so I just decided to do it stealth, where I got caught like 9 times and had to do it from the start!

Nitrowolf23026d ago

even still, that portion of the stealth isn't even hard. You can wistle and they run to the spot they heard it, and then there are a ton of bananas that you can shoot down that'll get their attention so you cna run by

CocoaBrother3026d ago

Sounds brutal. I just kept my distance and shot arrows and threw bombs when necessary. I took out the archers and stay a good distance away from the big guys until I felt it was necessary to strike. Definitely a tough part of the game.

I try to fight them once but die so I did stealth mode and I succeeded without been caught once. Rather my entire gameplay is sneaking every where since I am afraid of breaking my good weapons, bow.

Stapleface3024d ago

Why worry about breaking your weapons? Every weapon in the game is easily obtained. Want a royal type weapon, or a great fire sword? Go to the castle. Want a royal broadsword, there is one on top of a pillar. Moblins almost always have a 45 attack dragon bone Moblin club. Want a x3 bow, kill a Lynel. Revisit major test of strength shrines for strong ancient weapons.. I could go on. Good weapons are literally everywhere.

This large of an article for an actual 5 minute segment of the game. The poster states himself that he's not good at stealth games so you go ahead and right an essay about one of the simplest stealth areas in any Zelda game. Cancer.

(You can literally climb above the whole thing, there's and entire walk way above that level that also has a room with about 15 banana's, all you have to do is walk up to the entrance, skip every enemy, throw a banana in front of the guard and then drop down and enter the room leading to the helm).

Vegamyster3024d ago

Yeah i don't get it, by stealth standards it's very easy.

Git Gud.
Although it is one of the easiest parts in the game...

Lol. Wonder if we'll see a million switch 2 upgrades like we saw for the PS5 this gen.

IanTH1d 18h ago (Edited 1d 18h ago )

Considering how many games on Switch 1 struggled with either performance or resolution (sometimes both), I wouldn't have any qualms with a bunch of updates...as long as the majority are free.

Most PS4 games, for example, give PS5 upgrades for no cost. If it adds content, charge for content, but the core res/fps bumps should just be free patches. Nintendo charging for the Zelda updates feels really stingy. It's a res/fps bump that's only other value add is a weird phone app. Wonder how many people who've paid for the upgrade have even bothered with it.

I'm also baffled by the lack of updates to games, even just announcements. I guess Nintendo kept dev kits so tightly locked up, that there's going to be a dry spell for Switch 2 specific content to start the generation? Hopefully Big N is just hoarding these announcements to fill out the next Direct; and hopefully many of these updates/patches are free.

If I was just staring BotW then yeah, I would get the upgrade but no way I'm going back to replay it, this goes for any Switch 1 games that I have and played already.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Switch 2)- The Best Way To Play, But Zelda Notes Sucks| NL

"

Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is undoubtedly the best way to play one of the greatest games of all time. The visual and performance enhancements remove any issues that you may have had to endure with the original game. It's practically flawless from that perspective.

Sadly, the Zelda Notes app really brings the whole thing down. Useful features that should have been implemented in-game have been relegated to your smartphone, and using it completely breaks immersion in this incredible world. I'm only thankful that it's not even remotely mandatory. Leave Zelda Notes to one side, and you've got the definitive presentation of a modern classic." - Ollie Reynolds | NintendoLife
