How To Play Switch On TV If You're Worried About The Dock Scratching Your Screen

Between reports of screen scratches and concern over blocking the heat vents on the back of the tablet, some folks worry that docking for TV play isn’t the best thing for the Nintendo Switch. Good news for them—all it takes to bypass the dock is a simple USB-C extension cable.

yeah this "COOONSOLE" the cost is totally justified. LOL

mikeslemonade3023d ago

Just slide it in with the back against the dock. Instead of the screen sliding down against the front side of the dock.

Like any portable device with a screen (eg. mobile or tablet), you should always consider putting on a screen protector and if you are not confident pay or get someone to do it for you.

Actually, a very cheap solution is to put a microfibre cloth in the dock so that the screen of the switch will slide against the cloth, not the plastic.

Step 1) Don't put it in grinding it up against the side of the dock.
Step 2) Don't grind it on the side taking it out.
Step 3) Don't be a moron and treat your systems like new born babies.

I've had mine since launch and haven't gotten 1 scratch on the screen (plus screen protectors) and I take it in and out all the time. This is starting to sound like the people who kept idiotically standing their 360's vertically and wondering why they kept getting red ring....idiots.

MetalProxy3023d ago

Lol yeah it seams like they have to idiot proof everything theses days

Pancit_Canton3023d ago

I find your comment Ironic.

"I've had mine since launch and haven't gotten 1 scratch on the screen"

I see. Your system sir, has truly stood the test of time :/

Summons753022d ago

So am I supposed to lie and say I've had mine for years? If people can be idiots and cry about scratching it within hours of buying it why can't I call them out on their BS? Sorry bud no excuse for these morons.

Yep, all those commercials on tv sure does show off the user putting it in dock mode super carefully, not at all at a regular speed like most do

If you cant tell im being sarcastic,

I have a very strange issue with my dock where sometimes it won't charge or output to the TV. I have to constantly unplug / replug the cables and do a little rain dance to get it working. Once it's working, it works great, but the moment I move it to another TV, back to the rain dance.

Just take caution while boarding your cruise ship... It might even be best to keep your switch in your bag until you're properly boarded and safely on the ship. I would feel pretty embarrassed if I fell off the dock or something crazy like that happened because I wasn't paying enough attention.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Co-op Review [Co-Optimus]

"A few years ago, a mobile game developer called Super Evil Megacorp had the brilliant idea of making a TMNT roguelike. After first releasing it on Apple Arcade, they wisely recognized the game’s potential on other platforms. TMNT: Splintered Fate has slowly but surely come to all major platforms, finally arriving on Xbox today. Not only is Splintered Fate a fine roguelike and co-op game, but it’s also one of the best TMNT games ever made," says Co-Optimus.

Enter the Gungeon is Finally Coming to Mobile, and With Online Co-op to Boot

"Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital's Enter the Gungeon is a hit twin-stick shooter roguelike that debuted nearly ten years ago. Since then, it has received several DLCs and a single-player spin-off called Exit the Dungeon. Well, it seems that there's more life left in Enter the Gungeon yet. It's finally coming to Android and iOS, and with online co-op not found in the big-screen versions," says Co-Optimus.
