Wow. Not the best thing to do and then try to sell more of your product

rainslacker1522d ago

I'd agree, but nowadays, there is probably a sizable market for people who feel the same way.

TheFirstClassic1522d ago

There's a lot of racists out there, sure, but the things he said are uncommonly extreme.

rdgneoz31522d ago

@TheFirst Depends on the political affiliation of the individual. 7+ migrant children did die last year in federal custody, but only some people actually care. Hell, a judge recently declared the facilities being inhumane...

fr0sty1521d ago

@the firstclassic, the agrees and disagrees around here paint a different story than what you're trying to depict, there. Not quite so uncommon after all. Ol Donny's "Make America Hate Again" campaign seems to be working quite well.

rainslacker1521d ago

I don't condone what he says in the least. Just that there are a lot of people nowadays who seem empowered to express disdain towards other races, genders, or other things which they decide to be bigots on.

My comment was more a shaking my head connotation that there are a large number of people out there who support stupidity and ignorance, and how that relates to the original posters comment about how it can hurt the sales of this guys game.

@Ams

While I won't blame trump for what frosty is implying is his fault, Trumps campaign did set in motion this mentality of bigotry being acceptable among a middle class which seems to have problems being tolerant. This existed long before trump came around to rile things up, and I think Trump played on these people's feelings to help him get elected. He incited a group of people who weren't generally active in politics to become active in politics, which gave him the edge when it came to the vote.

If he didn't go after that group, it would have been some other group. Just like every politician maneuvers to try and catch the vote of various groups that exist.

My first comment wasn't directed at trump, or whatever group of people that negatively effect his perception among some. It was more about how there is a growing vocal discontent among Americans that speaking in a bigoted or intolerant manner is perfectly acceptable, and that those same people tend to be immune to listening to criticism because of the empowerment that they afforded themselves. They go against what has been a rather long term social awareness towards such matters, and likely it came to a head because they have felt pushed out due to that increased social awareness. Because of this, some people do feel that supporting others who feel the same way validates their own feelings which are against current generally socially accepted norms.

I really loathe getting into political commentary, especially involving the past or standing presidents on here, and I'm really indifferent to Trump as a whole, but I feel his general behavior and demenour towards such attitudes to be something which only empowers these people to feel there is nothing unacceptable about their beliefs in the social climate that was built the decade or more before Trumps election. But, this discontent started before Trump started campaigning, and if you look back at the Tea Party, there was a lot of the same general feelings there, it was just more diplomatic in its presentation.

Hence, why there may be a sizable market for people who feel the same way.

Which again, I do not condone, just speaking objectively.

Frosty spewing garbage again

Sono4211521d ago

Are you referring to the immigrant killing? Because he didn't even say that.... also anyone claiming this rhetoric is the norm" or even slightly popular is an idiot, if that was the case we would see articles like this ALL THE TIME, because every little case is reported on, even that random old lady at a starbucks or whatever calling that black woman the N word, but it doesn't happen all the time and isn't the norm, that's not an opinion, that's a fact.

Well he certainly won't be getting any of my money.

Sono4211521d ago

I don't know why this crap site put that as the title, he said something MUCH worse than that AND he didn't even say what they are claiming he did. He called middle easterners and black people (he used the N variant) animals and said he wants to kill them and it's his life goal.... INCREDIBLY racist and much worse than saying he wants to kill immigrants which, I will point out again, HE DIDN'T EVEN SAY THAT.

Well let's all make sure we never buy his stuff, here are the 3 games he's made
1. Hero Siege
2. Squishy the suicidal pig
3. Deranged rabbits
All of them are available on steam and I think only one on the play store, even if they are free to play, you should stay away from these, don't support him in any way.

Still just in shock at how bad this article is though, how is his CLEAR AS DAY racism not the title.... instead it's something he literally didn't even say..

FunAndGun1522d ago

What a loser. Hope this affects his bottom line.

Edgelordsupreme1521d ago

If you read through the whole article the dude just sounds deranged, and the story just doesn't quite add up.

Stay-Toasty1521d ago

That's a bold strategy, Cotton
