Illusion Software just released their Summer Lesson copy cat game VR Kanojo for those with either the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. Not content with leaving all the fun with Playstation VR gamers, VR Kanojo puts you into the shoes of a tutor and his pupil Sakura as you partake in some innocent and not so innocent activities. Illusion are well known for their Adult Games and this one is no exception although on the surface it does appear to be quite soft as you talk the character in VR. What’s good about the game is being able to interact or “tickle” the character at opportune moments using Touch or Vive Wands. There’s quite a bit of naughty stuff as well which we’ve not included in the video.
The VR Girlfriend experience from Illumination (a subsidiary of the now defunct Illusionsoft) or VR-Kanojo has a new trailer, but things are a little amiss. The character model and locations look way LESS detailed than the original game which released in Feb 2017. It’s a step backwards for sure, but what does look improved are the animations and things like naturally moving hair. The game releases on April 24th on PC via Steam but the jury’s out on whether this will be better than the original release.
CG writes: The adult-themed game, VR Kanojo is looking like it will get a revised version or sequel as a new steam page is up, and trailer for VR Kanojo 2. Japanese developer ILLUMINATION are simply calling the game VR-Kanojo which translates to VR Girlfriend. Now, the original game was quite tame, but an optional adult patch took the game to new heights. We assume this is going to be the case here. Especially in light of the Summer Vacation game debacle where the developers tried to make a more SFW type experience which annoyed all the fans and didn’t really gel with their target audience either resulting in them removing it from sale on Steam.
Cg writes: For those who enjoy adult themed gaming, the recent news that Japanese developer Illusion Software will be closing its doors in the coming month hits hard. A post on Steam suggests that all activity will end on August 18, 2023 at 10:00 (Japan time). This means gems such as VR Kanojo and Honey Select will no longer be available to purchase in the West, via Steam or otherwise. Illusion’s games have also been compatible with Steam VR, so it will be a shame for these to no-longer be available.
