That might make for a great game.

I wish Skate were less simulation and more over the top. Why Tony Hawk 5 couldn't have just been basically what Tony Hawk 3 was is beyond me. Sad that it failed.

Skate was so successful because of its realism.

thorstein3066d ago

Yes. Hall of Meat was an incredibly realistic simulation.

That and being able to use the Force to recall your skateboard from anywhere.

I loved Skate 3, it had just enough of everything that we could want including insane tricks/ jumps.

Skate was better than the Tony Hawk games in every way eventhough I used to love them back in the day.

And Skate let you do a proper hardflip! https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Yes!
This is the game Tony Hawk deserves. I adore the guy, what a legend.

I'm sold.
Loved skate 1 just couldn't get into 2 or 3 the story felt crammed in and cringy.
The thps games were amazing back in the ps1 days so bringing hawk into a more grounded realistic world would be wierd but also intriguing they would do it justice

Do you not see this happening during development? Like, why are we apologizing after the fact instead of stopping it during development?

anast3h ago

It's all good, as long as the price of the product decreases.

I was unhappy with DT and have spent far less time in it than any other expansion but it's things like this that makes me respect Yoshi P. It's rare for such a high profile developer to be so candid in his assessment on a live game.

Playdead co-founder slammed with lawsuit as bitter row with co-founder escalates

Playdead co-founder Dino Patti is allegedly being sued by his former studio and business partner.
Patti was threatened with a lawsuit earlier this year after he posted a now-deleted LinkedIn post that shared an "unauthorized" picture of co-founder Arnt Jensen and discussed some of Limbo's development. Patti said Jensen demanded a little over $73,000 in "suitable compensation and reimbursement," adding that he had "repeatedly" had such letters over the last nine years.
