SmielmaN2640d ago

Same here. Looks awesome. I have enjoyed GG games throughout the years and I'm hoping this is the best of the bunch. My son is probably going to blown away by the robot Dino's lol

Right on time, GG ! Congrats, my friend !

Guerilla Games and Sony deserve alot of credit for the existence of this game. Ps4 gamers are in for awesomeness

Krangs_Uncle2640d ago

Awesome... The game looks magnificent - I do have issues with the current models with regards to lighting, some VA, and character mannerisms while conversing in dialogue wheel cutscenes.. Does anyone know what the likelihood is of GG being able to sort some of it out within a month before release (patched)? Seems like the only weakness at this point.

Seriously excited!

nevarDcirE2640d ago (Edited 2640d ago )

Are you referring to the "I want to kill myself" cut scene? Or have you seen more examples?

I'm hoping that scene is just a one off, it was cringe worthy

Krangs_Uncle2640d ago (Edited 2640d ago )

I guess it was mainly that scene.. But I'm also (maybe unfairly) comparing the other cutscenes to how polished the rest of the game is.. The models lack the small facial movements that I would expect, whilst also seeming quite static. The VA acting isn't overly convincing in some other scenes either.

I was just wondering if this is something they would still have time to polish within a month..

I'm not trying to take anything away from what a great job they've done on a whole though.

KwietStorm_BLM2640d ago

Every one on one dialogue. The characters facial animations and lip syncing look like mannequins, like Fallout. The graphical quality is there, but those animations and lack of emotion really take away from their believability.

mike32UK2640d ago

Yeah i watched a 20 minute segment on the Sony channel, the commentator was saying how amazing the facial animations were... But I just thought they looked pretty bog standard in comparison to other recent games that I've played. Everything else looks glorious though so I'm really not that bothered!

Josuey2640d ago

Ahh yes, good ol' concern trolling

Krangs_Uncle2640d ago

What? I'm a massive Sony fan.. People have the wrong idea here - suddenly voicing an ounce of concern towards an otherwise stellar looking game is somehow trolling.

BlakHavoc2640d ago

Ya that scene was cringe worthy because the guys voice acting was bad. Couple times the facial animations looked weird but also at times they looked really good imo. Everything else about the game looks amazing though and I feel like this game will be a huge success once it comes out.

IamTylerDurden12639d ago

Blame Kojima? His team tinkered with the code and altered the engine/lighting. Seriously.

Turned based Phantasy Star and Shinning Force remain at the top of my list of Sega IPs that need to return. At the very least I'd take a Shining Force collection that has 1,2,3, CD and the Game Gear entries.

FinalBoss4d ago

I was hesitant to put these two on. I've personally played more PSO than the RPG version. And shame on me, I don't remember much about Shining Force to talk about it properly.

That said, so many Sega licences deserve their place in this list.

jznrpg2d ago

A new Phantasy Star in the numbered series would be amazing. Shining Force too. But I’d settle on some collections as that’s probably the best we will get

anast4d ago

I don't trust Sega to do a proper comeback. The games will be just remastered and/or monetized to death.

gold_drake3d ago

shining force.

but indont see that happening unfortunately.
