Think the titles releasing alongside the Switch are bad? Let's not forget the questionable launch lineups of years past.
Rocket League’s tenth anniversary update will be split into three parts, bringing new limited-time game modes and rewards to claim.
Epic Games announced that the next Fortnite update will bring Blitz Royale. This is a fast-paced mode that supports up to 32 players per lobby.
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "Chronicles of the Wolf is fine. The score is strong and electronic, a bit out of place but not overly so. The system feels flawed but never broken. I beat most bosses by just wailing on them repeatedly. Getting a gun feels like cheating and you can do it pretty early on. I never actually cared when I leveled up. “Fine” might be too reductive, but this could have been either a delightful masterpiece or absolute garbage, and it’s neither. If you’re a huge Castlevania fan, it could be a lot of fun. If you liked Bloodstained better than most, then you’ll love this game. But when the sun rises in this house, Chronicles will simply disappear, like a nightmare with lingering doubts left in the day."
N64 hands down. While we did get Super Mario 64, arguably one of the greatest games ever, it was that and Pilotwings 64 for the NA launch. Not only was it small, but the N64 didn't receive another new game for an entire month.
Imagine releasing a console with 2 games in 2017, people would riot
The thing people are forgetting is often there is a 2-3 month gap with no games within 1-2 weeks of a systems launch. On switch this is not happening, there are numerous games releasing almost weekly immediately after launch. Launch day is limited with 5 so far confirmed, but the first 8 weeks is pretty full.
PS1 and PS2 had abysmal launch lineups. PS1 maybe one of the worst I ever did see. Thankfully filled out over time, same with PS2. Even PS3/4 were pretty weak. I am never that concerned with launch games. I worry how it will fill up over the next year and beyond.
