Rumour: Valve might be working on a new Counter-Strike

Counter-Strike (CS) has gone through multiple iterations throughout the years, from the original half-life mod, growing as an eSport with CS 1.6, Condition Zero, CS: Source and CS: GO. The latter, which is of course the latest version of CS, released in August 2012. According to the latest rumour, Valve might be working on a new CS right now.

Yes !!!!!!!!! CSGO and Half-life 3 possibly?

Won't waste my time with a new Counter Strike. So many promises were made for Go yet most didn't get delivered.

The console version namely received promises of crossplay, k&m support, split screen, and others that all got scrapped with no mention of said features being removed until after the game went gold.

They didn't do crossplay because it would be a complete killing field if console players played against PC players, this has nothing to do with skill and more to do with controls. A mouse and keyboard simply gives more precision to aiming that a controller does. I'd be totally down with a new Counter Strike, I've been playing since '99 and I'll continue to do so.

Did you not read his post? He said that kb/m support was supposed to come too. If it had, then it wouldn't be the 'killing field' you describe.

If you are going to go as far as trying to play CS and buy a m/kb for your console, why not just play it on a pc? You can run the game on a potato.

To each their own but your explanation still says what I did.

I won't buy a product that gets shown off and hyped to include such features just for a quiet to fall along with the same features being removed. Especially when the features weren't confirmed to be removed after announcing gold status.

I also felt delivering a beta to PC players but not console players was a smack to the face. Counter Strike on PC is pretty well proven plus established. Counter Strike on consoles is a whole different ballgame. The beta was more needed on consoles versus PC.

Idk about you, but i was using a mouse and keyboard on the ps3 once this game launched.
