Star Wars: The Force Unleashed hit the streets on Tuesday September 16th and while the reviews are in general positive, they are lower than what the game's hype said they should be.
Is this a case of substance being put above form and the game getting a fair rating from reviews? Or, is this making up for the overly positive and over-the-top scores for GTA IV and Metal Gear Solid 4? Food for thought.

I am not a Star Wars fan but I enjoyed the Force Unleashed and the sequel. Shadows of the Empire was another Star Wars game I also enjoyed.
I played the demo and it was fun but the game didn't even run at a solid 30 fps. It looked and felt rushed. Lucas Arts should have hammered down the frame rate before releasing it. The reviews I've read thus far are just.
lucas arts think were still in ps2, BS if u dont offer MP u suck.

I wonder whatever happened to reviewing games based on taking it for what it is, no based upon some hyped-up expectation?
