VR "harassment" can be solved by taking off your headset, or even closing your eyes.

Eonjay3092d ago (Edited 3092d ago )

Yeah no. The developers took appropriate steps here. Lets give them credit for responding to complaints of harassment. Giving her the option to mute and make these punks invisible doesnt actually make them oppressed. Why should she or anyone have to stop playing in order to avoid groping?

Kreisen3092d ago (Edited 3092d ago )

What groping? Last time i checked you cant actually reach out through a headset and physically molest anybody.

If me standing next to another player in a videogame making silly noises is the equivalent of "rape" then am i a murderer if i shoot others in Battlefield? Should i get charged for reckless driving if i play GTA Online?

MRMagoo1233092d ago (Edited 3092d ago )

I shouldn't have to listen to teen rage and swear and be racist online but what I have to do because I'm not stupid in the head is either mute them or deal with it. I don't expect them to just stop because I don't like it.

*gropes s-word*

Ogygian3092d ago (Edited 3092d ago )

Let's not give them credit.

If someone gets annoyed by VR groping, then they are not mature enough to be using VR. I don't want to play multiplayer games with such people (because they're not likely to be all that fun).

The main problem is devs actually responding to this tiny minority of complainers.

What problem?

Seriously, why do influential people keep listening to the whine and moan brigade?

For normal, well-adjusted people, there's no such thing as "VR harassment".

Millennial creating news by being offended.
Standard.
Let's wrap ourselves in a bubble cause all men are evil.

Made an account today just to post on this article. Ive been t-bagged and ive t-bagged in games. Ive had to mute annoying kids and im sure ive been muted back when i was an annoying kid. This is some shit right here though. If i played this game itd be very hard not for me to make my floating hand do the "jerk off" motion every head shot. (Itd be funny to me to see a little Rayman hand do that) This is why ESRB doesnt rate online interactions. If you are seriously that bothered you either only play with people you know or only play offline. Im 27 i consider myself moderately mature (farts are funny sometimes still so is the N word every once in awhile) but grow up... Would i ever actually Tbag a person? No..... but thats the greatness of the virtual world. I also wouldnt pay a hooker shoot her then run her over. I dont get frustrated easliy but this has me a bit heated.

Throw me in virtual jail.

Playdead co-founder slammed with lawsuit as bitter row with co-founder escalates

Playdead co-founder Dino Patti is allegedly being sued by his former studio and business partner.
Patti was threatened with a lawsuit earlier this year after he posted a now-deleted LinkedIn post that shared an "unauthorized" picture of co-founder Arnt Jensen and discussed some of Limbo's development. Patti said Jensen demanded a little over $73,000 in "suitable compensation and reimbursement," adding that he had "repeatedly" had such letters over the last nine years.

Truly amazing!

Draws inspiration clearly draws gameplay inspiration from Assassins Creed and action cinematics from Uncharted!

Powered by UE5!

Definitely on my radar!

Storm239h ago

Unreal Engine 5 usually isn't something to be excited about...

Eastern devs are putting in that work this gen. The quality of their games have been top-notch across the board. Looking forward to seeing more of this game in action.

Other devs need to take notes and step their game up, figuratively and literally.

Lightning771d 6h ago

Looks very good why wasn't this at SGF?

Obscure_Observer1d 4h ago

Probably because this trailer wasn´t ready yet.

I doubt the developers would miss the opportunity to reveal their games to millions of gamers on four major events like Summer Game Fest, Future Games Show, State of Play or Xbox Showcase on purpose.

Scissorman12h ago

not everything needs to be at SGF. and judging by the reaction and the amount of views the trailer has already garnered, it didn't really need to be there.

Lightning776h ago

If Geoff wants rules on his showcases he needs to get these types of games SGF is largely seen as a borefest each year. Maybe he needs to go out and get these types s of games. Plus Net ease doesn't need SGF but SGF needs this game.

This feels like 90% stolen from Uncharted and the guy is also falling or almost falling to often down. Nah this is to much show, something is strange here.

Sonyslave321h ago

It does look like it could be staged or the combat might be like hellblade, but i have hope the devs made naraka battle royal game.

Lightning7717h ago

Ryse had staged area like combat. So did Hell Blade. Linear story based games do this. It's very cinematic like gameplay. The game did remind me of Ryse, how Ryse would of looked if they had a sequel of sorts.

pwnmaster300019h ago

This reminds me a bit of uncharted, ghost, Gow and AC.

Count me in.
