Nothing Else Like It: Dark Souls 3

Released earlier in the year, Dark Souls 3 was the final swan song for the franchise. Steeped in the dramatic sense of impending doom, the experience was the perfect bookend for the series. Steeped in grandeur, there’s a level of mutual respect between the player and the world. It’s perhaps the game’s, and even the … Continue reading Nothing Else Like It: Dark Souls 3

The one boss i could not stand was that bloody tree. Never been murdered by so much ass in my life

kevnb3105d ago

Just use a weapon with a longer reach, problem solved.

Aim for the balls on the feet first

joab7773105d ago

Stay away from it lol!

I do hope Nioh is like it though. It's looks like it may just be the first Souls-sequel game to actually hold a candle to the Souls series. Lil' Gaiden in there too!

PixelGateUk3105d ago

Nioh's demos have been awesome, cant wait for the full game

It was a gimmick boss that killed me 3 times in my first playthrough which is more than it should have

Except Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne and similar games from other studios.

PixelGateUk3105d ago (Edited 3105d ago )

Someone reacted to the title and not the post huh?

kylethemurphy3105d ago

Never! Not on my internet!

Liqu1d3105d ago

sullynathan3105d ago

Souls 3 is better than souls 2 and demons souls

Liqu1d3104d ago

It is absolutely not better than Demon's Souls. DS3 does PvE better than DS2 but DS2 does PvP better than DS3, overall DS2 is a better game and feels more like a sequel whereas DS3 feels more like Dark Souls 1.5.

Jmanzare3104d ago

I never played demon souls or bloodborne but my favorite souls games are 1,3,then 2. One and three are so close it's practically a tie imo

quent3105d ago

That Dancer she used her um.. Figure on me and that I thought was quite unfair, made me take forever to learn her attack patterns.

joab7773105d ago

Of course on 1st play through I attempted her much too early and tried helping people when I was no help at all. Love how they places her right there at the start!

quent3105d ago

Well there's a lesson to be learned, never kill the elderly, unless they come at you first ;), I haven't tried to trigger that fight early yet, must be a nightmare of a challenge with a low level character,
There's less room for making mistakes.

PixelGateUk3105d ago

her attack patterns are super punishing

Avin19733105d ago

Was one of the easiest bosses for me. I had my share of pain and tears in one or two...

PixelGateUk3105d ago

one person's easy is anothers 'wtf help me' i guess lol

Fishy Fingers3105d ago

Never played a Souls game but enjoyed bloodborne once I got over the learning curve. £20 in the steam sale got me tempted.

joab7773105d ago

You should, though DS3 would be the game that would most be like BB, with its speed and updated graphics etc.

PixelGateUk3105d ago

it's deffo worth picking up the 3rd

Liqu1d3104d ago (Edited 3102d ago )

I'd say buy all the Souls games on Steam. DS3 has a lot of throwbacks to DS1 that you might not understand, plus they're all good games.

@Josuey Incorrect. DS2 used mocap for most animations which is why it feels so different and it has the best PvP in the entire series. DS3 is the worst in the series overall.

@Dragonscale Nope. DS2 has the best PvP, DS1 has the best PvE.

Josuey3104d ago

DS2 is the worst in the series, complete utter floaty slow and slugish controls

Dragonscale3103d ago (Edited 3103d ago )

Sorry but DS2 is the worst of them all. Still good compared to other games but no way better than the other Souls games .

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Co-op Review [Co-Optimus]

"A few years ago, a mobile game developer called Super Evil Megacorp had the brilliant idea of making a TMNT roguelike. After first releasing it on Apple Arcade, they wisely recognized the game’s potential on other platforms. TMNT: Splintered Fate has slowly but surely come to all major platforms, finally arriving on Xbox today. Not only is Splintered Fate a fine roguelike and co-op game, but it’s also one of the best TMNT games ever made," says Co-Optimus.

Enter the Gungeon is Finally Coming to Mobile, and With Online Co-op to Boot

"Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital's Enter the Gungeon is a hit twin-stick shooter roguelike that debuted nearly ten years ago. Since then, it has received several DLCs and a single-player spin-off called Exit the Dungeon. Well, it seems that there's more life left in Enter the Gungeon yet. It's finally coming to Android and iOS, and with online co-op not found in the big-screen versions," says Co-Optimus.
