That's what I like about you, DuelShocker. Always bring positive things.

Shocker fighting Spider-man

Shocker dueling Spider-Man.

P_Bomb2705d ago (Edited 2705d ago )

Maybe he's *saving* Spider-Man by shooting an even worse ne'er-do-well off panel? Plot twist!!

PeaSFor2705d ago

Wait, ....what is this weird redundant noise?
Oh never mind, its just "insert color"_Gangsta getting triggered the F@ck out and bashing his keyboard with his forehead, creating multiples accounts due to his many nervous breakdowns inducing spamming spree.

Trico is like a real animal. He's cute like a dog and a cat.

EverydayJoe2705d ago

I feel that it desperately needs Space Marines with really over sized machine guns.

Make Games Great Again

Gatsu2705d ago

Yeah ;O... I just finished it omg and what a beautiful and emotional game <3 !!!

Perjoss2704d ago

Finished it last night and loved every minute of it. With most games I kind of feel a little glad that its finished so I can go play other cool stuff, but I really didn't want this one to end, really felt like I'd been on a magical adventure. Its lovely to see developers focusing on more than just advanced graphical techniques as this was such an impressive showcase for an advanced AI companion.

Great review. I share the reviewer's opinion of the game, it's brilliant. Not for everyone, but amazing for those who get it. Fans of ICO/SOTC, art lovers, those who like animals, people with patience, and the emotionally mature are most likely to enjoy this game I think.

CaptainCamper2705d ago

Patience? Yeah, putting up with piss poor controls, terrible camera angles and repetitive puzzles. Never completed the game so was unable to review it but it's the first time in many years I've put a game back on the shelf after 3-4 hours.

robtion2705d ago

That's fine. Wasn't for you ;)

I imagine ICO and SOTC weren't for you either? Not a problem, it's just not your cup of tea. You are right about the controls and camera, they could be a lot better. I can overlook that because I enjoy everything else so much.

Nyxus2705d ago

Camera and controls issues are blown way out of proportion. They weren't perfect but not much of a problem either for me. And I actually liked the puzzles, and didn't find them repetitive at all.

P_Bomb2705d ago

Multiple playthroughs here. Controls are just like the old games if not a bit better (no more grip meter). camera gets wonky indoors but is fine outside. Puzzles aren't repetitive as there aren't even enough to be repetitive, it's mostly obstacle traversal. Git gud? Bloodborne was harder in the beginning.

Dark_Knightmare22705d ago (Edited 2705d ago )

Cool for you but there's nothing repetitive about its puzzles and I'm tired of hearing about piss poor controls when they aren't. Are they unique and different from 99 percent of games out there yes but there's nothing that impedes your progress in the game. When I push triangle the boy jumps like I want him to,when i push x he will crouch like I want him to,when I move the analog stick forward he moves forward like I want him to and when I hold r1 and push the analog stick in a direction trico moves where i want him to because of petting him often, feeding him all the apple barrels I could find and removing spears right away and wiping the blood away which makes him more obedient and he listens almost the first time everyone I tell him to do something. The camera is kind of a pain in the butt but if you turn up the sensitivity in options it helps a ton.

Gatsu2704d ago (Edited 2704d ago )

The camera and controls were great, I dont understand the complaints at all. Puzzles are not repetitive lol. I don't know what you were playing :).

Such a beautiful, beautiful, eternally memorable game.

Even though we're likely to never play a game like this ever again, I hope Sony never stops supporting innovative concepts like The Last Guardian.

Perjoss2704d ago

Part of me really hopes that a few devs out there see this amazing accomplishment is AI as a challenge to come up with something similar or even better sometime in the future. I really don't see such an amazing title like this not inspiring others to create more special games.

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88153d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183152d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie151d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.

The Last Guardian Is One of Gaming’s Most Beautiful Depictions of Friendship

Friendship is hard to depict accurately, but The Last Guardian does a good job of showing all its ups and downs through Trico and the boy.

Technical issues aside, this is easily one of my favorite games from last gen.

ClayRules2012836d ago (Edited 836d ago )

I couldn’t agree more. I’ll never forget the emotional experience I had with this game. After waiting all those years, and than to finally play it. It was a visual beauty, along with offering a story/friendship between the 2 characters that was unique and unforgettable. Far surpassed my expectations. A masterpiece!

Technical issues aside, never have I played anything quite like it!

Magog836d ago

I enjoyed the game but it started out too simple and easy. If the entire game was as intense and challenging as the last 20% it would have been a 10/10 experience.

EvertonFC836d ago

Great game, so underrated. One of my favourites and top 20 games of all time

Phoenix76836d ago

I managed to grab the collectors edition for £40 about a year after it released. Was an enjoyable game, but I had just finished Shadow of the colossus, and whilst I enjoyed it, it was not as good when compared.

Making Sense of Trico: The Last Guardian's Misunderstood Hero
