Level Down Games says, "The Dwarves is a fairly unique game, in that it is based off of the novels written by Markus Heitz, and it’s clearly obvious that this was a world that existed in a book before it did in a gaming form. It doesn’t happen very often, but it’s an interesting idea, as there are a ton of books and novels I would eventually love to see a game adaptation to. But there also might be a reason why this crossover doesn’t occur often. The Dwarves, which is a perfect title to attempt this, falls short, no pun intended."
