Force Unleashed's Lack of Fun Disturbing (Wired Review)

Review by Chris Kohler:

"Who knew that throwing Stormtroopers around like they were rag dolls could be so... boring?

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 video game in stores this week, is the first Star Wars game that truly lets you go on a rampage using the dark side of the Force. You'll get to levitate TIE Fighters, cast that super-cool finger lightning that the Emperor uses, and generally wreak massive destruction all over the galaxy. Unfortunately, the novelty of having midichlorians wears off after an hour or so, and what you're left with is an unpolished and flat experience that doesn't hold a lightsaber to genre standards like God of War."

I think throwing people around like rag dolls is fun! wtf is wrong with you people, you take what you can get, there haven't been any good games games out in awhile.

.......I loved the S%it out of the Demo......I will rent it and see why everyone hates it..

The demo was fun..I like throwing people around like rag dolls....and you throw in a decent physic engine..how much fun could that be........?

But it isnt . bad camera ruins the experience , and not everyone is gonna deal with it that positively .

It's fricking annoying to have the camera constantly badly placed and to recenter for no good reason during battle .

its like the test said , the rest of the game might be well done , but when during a fight the challenge is mostly you against the interface , it isnt great .

Thankfully it got a story that grips me , and i'm used to playing mediocre game for story alone .

but it's still fun and has a surprisingly decent story.

exactly my point of view, because for people who played GOW 1 or 2 is the Force Unleashed like playing a lowbudget game in an early beta stage :D

force unleashed is a great game. Thankfully the 360 version is bc on the XBO/Series. It looks and plays even better than on original hardware.

I am not a Star Wars fan but I enjoyed the Force Unleashed and the sequel. Shadows of the Empire was another Star Wars game I also enjoyed.

I had Shadows of the Empire on N64 and I used to finish that game basically weekly. LOVED that game.
