ThisGenGaming says "When Ubisoft showed Steep at E3 back in June I was rather surprised, I was not expecting them to show an extreme sports game, to be honest I was expecting them to announce a new Splinter Cell, so I thought, ok it will be interesting to see there take on this type of game. So here we are about six months later, and the open beta has arrived, with the release date of December 2nd fast approaching."
Neil writes: "A new month means new freebies via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme. But as we head into September 2020, it also signifies the arrival of a brand new set of discounts that come about through the weekly Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale. And as has been the case for as long as we care to remember, once more the Deals With Gold sale is found delivering a host of great games at bargain basement prices. Want the full list of those available between the 1st-7th September 2020?"

If you're gonna make me click so much, at least have a less bot mining looking site.
For all it's faults, The Division has some of the best winter atmosphere I've come across. Massive Entertainment really nailed that aspect.
Interestingly enough, today was the first "heavy snow" day we've had in PA, it's weird, it's been a pretty mild winter up until this point.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Darksiders II, and Steep are free right now at Epic Games Store. They are free until January 9 at 10 AM. Once you claim it, it’s yours to keep.
Epic have really looked after people since its launch. i predict the store gets stronger and stronger in the marketplace
I grew up snowboarding and have always been disappointed with the way that most snowboarding games handle powder as if there's no difference to the board's handling than groomed snow. This game at least seems to model powder somewhat correctly. Haven't actually tried it to see how it feels though. The only one that seemed to sort of do it right was 1080 on the N64.
The strongest thing this game accomplishes is making me wish EA's SKATE makers(rip blackbox) did a snowboard game. The visuals in steep are great, but controls suck, sense of speed needs to be enhanced, and it's nowhere near a $60 game
Yeah wasn't impressed. Nothing fun about sledding through checkpoints.
It was fun for a short while but it grew old very quickly. It's too much of the same. Granted it's a beta but it hasn't impressed me so far.
I hope Ubisoft would be willing to delay this, and give it a proper second thought. It looks great, and even has a neat system for getting through this open mountain, setting challenges along the way. The actual snowboarding just feels awful, though. It's overly simplistic, and feels like a side-activity from a totally different game.
